Iowa City Eastside Artists

Comments

Locals! After 17 memorable, wonderful years, I have retired from my corner of the Iowa City Eastside Artist Show! I will miss talking to friends and shoppers, sharing the joys and challenges of running a thriving community art show with my ESA comrades in art, and the spirit of giving that always shone through here every December. I have my scratchboard art for your holiday wishes listed on my Etsy art shop site (see below in comments for a fresh link), and prints and calendars can be found at Prairie Lights and Wilsons's Orchard. And you can always message me if you have any art desires this holiday season! Local free delivery (in the form of my handsome husband, sometimes on his bike!) The Eastside Artist Annual Show will be in person this year at its regular Masonic Temple location. I’ll see you in the check out area purchasing treasures! Iowa City Eastside Artists
48"x36" oil on canvas.
Original limited edition fine art prints, greeting cards and upcycled wool wearables by local Eastside IC artist, Jill Estelle (Harper). Visit www.etsy.com/shop/jillestelleart or Jill Estelle Art on Facebook/Instagram!
One of my favorite items to prepare each holiday are paper bird ornaments. I pair them with gifts of artisan chocolate or tea or on place settings...This year a crow and a dove- dark and light!- add to the flock. If you go to the Iowa City Eastside Artists Show this weekend and see me there, come say hi and mention you saw this post and I'll give you a bird! Thanks for following!

A special treat at our show each year is Cheryl Jacobsen's showtime calligraphy services.
Cheryl can beautifully address an envelope for that special card, write a holiday name tag or place card, or customize a handmade gift.
Cheryl won't be working on site at this year's show, but will be checking in, and you'll be able to leave requests or items for her to decorate for you to pick up later.
We're so glad she's able to offer her services in this way!

Dear Friends, we are counting down the days to our 2021 Show and Sale!
We are so excited to welcome you back to a live show this year.
The safety of our customers and artists is our highest priority, so we want to update you on the covid-19 safety protocols that will be in place at our show.
*Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 will be required at the door. Please arrive with your vaccination card, or a photo of your card accompanied by a matching photo ID.
*Masks will be required at all times inside the Masonic Building. The building management already requires this, and we will require masks for all artists and customers.
*We will limit the number of customers admitted to the show at one time during peak hours. We will be closely monitoring traffic flow inside the hall to prevent crowding. Please be patient if you are asked to wait, and be mindful that others are waiting if you shop during a busy time.
*Beverages will not be served at this year’s show, to reduce trash and keep everyone masked.
*Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance to the show, and at checkout tables. We will sanitize high-touch surfaces.
*Children under 12 will not be required to show proof of vaccination (though we hope that they are vaccinated!) but will be required to wear masks.
We thank you for your support and patience, and look forward to seeing you December 3-5!

The Eastside Artists are taking special care this year to ensure that we have a safe shopping space for our customers and our artists. As part of our safety measures, we won't be serving freshly brewed coffee or cider this year. This will reduce trash and help keep everyone masked inside the hall.
But never fear! You can still buy your favorite locally roasted coffee from Cafe del Sol Roasting!
We'll have plenty of bagged Cafe del Sol coffees for sale, perfect for gift-giving or serving at your holiday celebrations.
And we'll do our best to offer up just as much good cheer as ever at this year's show!
