Spring Break Clinics are open for registration at www.rec serv.uiowa.edu.
Junior clinics for the youngest and newest are 8:30-10:30 am, Orange and Green Ball Academy at 8:30-10:30 am and Academy and Jr Academy will be 10:30-12:30 pm. All Mon-Fri.

A reminder the Iowa Women have a tennis meet today vs Minnesota. There will not be cardio at 10:30 am or Drills for Thrills at 11:30 am.

We stopped tennis class for a minute tonight to watch the Iowa Women’s basketball team clinch the Big Ten Championship! They are terrific role models for girls and boys in all sports!

We are so thrilled for our students playing in our Level 7 USTA tournament. Many are playing their very first tourney!! Outstanding points and terrific sportsmanship! Getting better all the time!!

Lots to celebrate today! Super Bowl: kids hit the ball through the goal post, the Olympics—kids hit approaches and volleys at the Olympic Rings and hit groundstrokes at the Valentines heart!

Today and tomorrow are the last days of this current youth and adult class session. A new session starts right away next weekend, Feb. 19 and 20. Deadline for classes: 48 hours prior to start time first day.

We will be hosting a Level 7 Junior Tennis Tournament February 19th. This is designed for beginner to intermediate players. The 12 and under will be Green Ball. Our 10u Orange and Green Ballers did an amazing job today! So fun to watch you compete! You all got better today! (And sorry as we didn’t get a photo of everyone.)

The HTRC will be hosting an Orange and Green Ball tournament Saturday, January 29th! Deadline to register is Tuesday, January 25th at 4:59 pm on USTA.com. No late entries will be accepted.
We will be looking for VOLUNTEERS late afternoon to assist kids with scoring. Email Xavier-Loomer if you can help.

Saturday tennis classes scheduled for tomorrow, January 15th have been cancelled (Herky, Black I, Gold I and II, Hawk II and Cardio Tennis). Make-up details will be shared next week.

Before our semester gets fully underway, we wanted to take a moment to wish Elise best of luck in Delaware at her new adventures! We are grateful for all she did for our program! Elise’s hard work, integrity and skill sets will lead her to much success!

Match play is incredibly important to a player’s development. So great to see all these kids battling on Saturday nights!
