Happy New Year to all of you!

I hope that 2020 wasn't a complete mess for everybody and that 2021 will bring us back to a new and better normal.

All of us have started new jobs and different adventures since the closing of our beloved Cottage. Life is ever changing and we adapt well!

I have noticed the signs in the windows of The Cottage saying that we are reopening in the spring. 'We' are not. There is a new business going into that location and that business is purchasing some of our equipment. They are also keeping the awning up and, therefore, using the name. They will not have our business model, recipes, website or phone number. I am getting this out there ONLY to avoid confusion. I appreciate hearing from so many of you, and am sorry to say that we have no intention of reopening at this or any other location at this time.

I do wish this new business, and all new businesses, the very best and hope that they all become important participants in our community.

Hi Everybody!

I hope this finds all of you healthy and safe. It is with a very heavy heart that I am announcing the closing of The Cottage.

I want to thank each and every one of you that were a part of it in any way.

All of the employees, past and present, are the very best people and I have been so incredibly lucky. Tracy Frakes, Keri Gates, Zach Ehl, Marian Good, Jackie Mills, Sarah Sanford, Becky Keep and Johnny Gates--there are just no words for the deep gratitude I have for you. Thank you. I will just miss you all so.

Our customers are what we did this all for, and to say thank you is not enough. Our regulars are amazing--you brightened our days, cried, ranted, laughed and loved with us. Thank you. We all love you and will miss you dearly.

A very special thank you to Lora Miller (Alberhasky) for making this beautiful Cottage a reality and such a wonderful part of my life.

Hello everybody! We have made the incredibly difficult decision to temporarily close our doors tomorrow at 3PM. We really think it is best for us and the community to do so. We will see you on the other side of this ordeal. We are going to focus on our families and help our community in any way we can during these difficult times. That all said, we will have many cakes and goodies tomorrow. We hope to see some of you. We wish health and wellness to each and everyone of you, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of our family. Good morning!! We have loaves and loaves of fresh bread today. We can also have lasagna ready for you to take home and bake. Call (319.351.0052) today! We have all the usual too--pastries, cookies, soups and hot lunch as well as sandwiches made to order!

Happy Saint Patrick's day!! Today we have delicious Reuben paninis on rye bread, creamy ]potato and pea soup, or chicken wild rice. We will have paninis ready--please give us a call if you want us to bring it out to you!

Hello all! I hope this finds everyone healthy and safe. In this scary time we are here to help as much as we can. You can call in your order(319. 351.0052), and we can bring it out to your car or just outside if you are on foot. We will have any of our sandwiches, wraps and paninis available. We will also have soups and a hot lunch daily. We always adhere to safe food handling practices and will continue to do so. Please all be careful, practice social distancing as much as possible and take care of your elderly neighbors. At this time our hours for the week of March 16th will be 7am-4pm.
