A compilation of the pergolas we finished up installing this week for .

Over 150 rectangular aluminum tubes bolted to aluminum channels that were attached to the buildings.

Powder coated aluminum pergola we got installed last week for a customer. They had some old telephone poles that made up part of their deck for us to attach to. Used 6×2 rectangular tube for the frame and slats. Used 6" aluminum I-beam for the 4 posts. Got some square headed bolts and nuts for hardware at all the connections. Powder coated by

The powder coated railings that went with the floating stair stringers we did. Did a stair rail, a straight rail on the upper floor, a straight rail on the main floor, a grab rail going down the stairs, and one on the deck.
1/2" × 1" vertical pickets, 1 1/2" posts, and a 2"× 1" top rail
Tied the rails coming down the stairs into the straight rail for extra support (cuz kids like to swing around them as they come down the stairs). All hardware was fit flush to the steel and the connection was bolted in as incognito as possible.

Some powder coared stair stringers we got installed a few weeks ago. More to come later with the rails.

This bucket came to us needing juuuust a bit of work. Got a new edge, teeth, and got the back side formed back up with new wear bars.

A deck rail from this fall that we put in. All the horizontals were 3/4" tube we rotated to use as a diamond shape. The long run up the step, to the corner, and back to the house were actually made up of 4 different sections.

Boys battled the freezing cold to end last week getting this load of steel ready to deliver first thing Monday morning. This load of structural steel is headed to Grimes for a new bank being built.

Got back to a rail job we did a little bit ago. Had to install some handles and trim pieces to an entry closet and hall closet.
Used a laser to line up the trim pieces with the horizontals in the existing door (last pic). Had the back of the pieces drilled and tapped for some small shoulder screws. Laid out the holes for drilling and drilled the initial hole for the threaded part to go through. Then drilled about half way through the 1/4" board so the head of the shoulder bolt would be recessed inside but still catch the wood and not pull through, leaving a flush feel on the back of the door.
Turned out pretty good for being probably the more difficult way of doing it. The powder coated pieces break up all the oak and were a cheaper option than replacing all the wood.
