This week we fabbed up a 20x12x1/2" tube that was over 60 ft long. It will be a mono stringer for a stair/dock from the apartments out over the pond at @elevateyourlivingcondos in coralville for @grandraildevelopment.
Got it installed this morning by Ethan O'Leary, Keith Hemann, the guys from Tyler Roger's construction, and Ockenfels Crane Company

Got this brick patterned railing installed today for @bojamesbar so they can have an outdoor seating area with a more durable and custom rail. All the pieces are powder coated black by @shopthepowder and bolted together so they can be stored inside for the winter.

Got this modern rail installed. Made of 3/8"× 1 1/2" flats. This rail is actually made up of 3 different sections and then joined together as incognito as possible. The interesting twist was figuring out how to make the corners actually match the rest of the rail. We didn't want to just have square tubes that would look like they were just thrown in, so we came up with turning flats at a 45° angle. Really turned out well

Got the privilege of being a part of updating the look of this house with some rails we fabricated. Got a couple pics after the install and one from when we first did our measurements. Quite the transformation, and goes well with the rest of the updates in the house.

Still been super busy but took time out to make sure we got this plant stand done to be auctioned off at the skyler moss family fundraiser at @northdodgeathleticclub. We encourage everyone to bid up all the great items to help out skyler and his family as he continues to battle and make great progress.
Keep it up skyler!!

Welding piling for the southbound section of the I380 Bridge for the I80-I380 interchange project. We've been all over the state welding piling for years but finally got some pictures and video to help show what "welding piling" all entails.

Got the pleasure of fabricating and installing the rails for @diamondridge_construction. Really looks great in the renovated house.
Tried for a panorama pic to try and capture all of the upstairs but it turned out a little wonky.

Bent up these bases for a bathroom vanity for a customer that is renovating their house. They are going to be attached with screws to the underside (see last pic for the basic idea of how it will work.)

Table legs we made for a customer. They are going to decide whether to powder coat it, clear coat it, or just leave it raw.

Customer had to have a railing on one side of their front stoop. They wanted something more than just a rail, so we made a bench off of it that ties into the rail. Used expanded metal for the sitting part to let any water/ snow/ etc... go through and not collect on top. Still at a good height to add a cushion and have a back test. @shopthepowder did the powder coating.

Installed these rails and grab rail today. Nice change of pace getting to make the posts out of flats and putting a little stub on top. Cool design really fits in with the customers house.

Got to do repair on a seat from Ebbits Field in Brooklyn. Awesome piece of history. The stadium opened in 1913 and was home to all sorts of sports. Football, soccer, prize fights, and of course baseball, were all played there. It was the home field of Jackie Robinson and the Brooklyn Dodgers until the late 50's. The ballpark started to be demolished in 1960 but not before there was an auction to sell anything and everything. That's how this piece of history made its way to our customer and into our shop. Really cool to work on knowing/thinking about the history it has been through in over its 100+ years!!

Finished up welding on a new walking path bridge. Got some pictures of the splice piece we made from corten steel. They were sandwiched on each side of the 10' tall, 100 year old I beams that were originally from the railroad track that ran through. A stiffener was added to the outside "I" and then bolted through with 76 bolts. The top and bottom flanges of the beam were also welded as were the bottom and tops of the "I".
Also did some welding where the piers and bridge meet.
