For every $50/$100 you spend on Stampin’Up orders thru Feb. 28, you can choose special FREE stamp sets and designer series paper packs!

These beautiful cards were created with the fabulous Dainty Flowers DSP that is available for a $50 purchase. These cards are so easy, yet so elegant. I let the gorgeous DSP be the focus of the card and just added a sentiment and some enamel dots for dimension. The DSP is so rich with a watercolor paper look that easily gives texture to your card. I created these seven cards in under an hour! You need this paper! 😊

Happy New Year’s Eve! Hope you have fun plans, whether you are going out or staying in! 🎉🎉

I created this card for New Year’s wishes. I love the color combo of white, starry sky, highland heather and gorgeous grape to convey a wintry, snowy feel.
I used the emboss resist technique to create the beautiful background with the white snowflakes popping through. Emboss resist is when you heat emboss images (usually with white embossing powder) on a white piece of cardstock. I heat embossed the largest snowflakes. You then sponge darker color ink/s all over and around the embossed images. The embossing causes the sponged ink to just slide off the embossed images, leaving them clean and shining through on your design! Here I sponged highland heather ink and then starry sky ink to get that multi-color background. Lastly, I stamped some starry sky snowflakes directly on the cardstock and added some sparkly bling with rhinestone gems and pretty texture with a gorgeous grape ribbon. Voila - a snowy, sparkly New Year’s greeting! ❄️❄️❄️

Happy New Year’s to all of you!

The Surprisingly Profound Power of Thank-You Notes 12/30/2022

The Surprisingly Profound Power of Thank-You Notes

I love this idea - writing end-of-year thank you notes to people who have helped you or done something that touched you this past year. Also called gratitude letters. A lovely message to include in a handmade card!

The Surprisingly Profound Power of Thank-You Notes Looking back on the year, I make a mental list of everyone who supported me—and remember that no achievement is the result of my efforts alone.

I received so many beautiful handmade cards from so many of you this season! It was a joy to go out to the mailbox each day and discover them. I wanted to share them with all of you. I’ll share some more tomorrow. Thank you so much to all who sent them to me! ❤️💚

When the barometer is falling, an impending blizzard is forecast and there’s only 3 days until the holiday break, you pull out the stamps, punches, DSP scraps and some cardstock and let your students create wonderful holiday and birthday cards. So fun! I love the creativity and spontaneity kids have for stamping and art!

Happy Weekend! I was Christmas shopping yesterday in our lovely city when I saw this absolutely gorgeous decoration around one of our shops. Isn’t it just fabulous? And so fun! I love the non-traditional holiday colors - polished pink, pool party, granny apple green, mossy meadow and white.
It inspired me to come home and create a holiday thank you card. We need lots of those when Christmas is done!

The fun polished pink snowflake DSP is from the very versatile Celebrate Everything DSP pack available to hostesses until Jan. 4. The stamped snowflakes are from the Joyful Flurry stamp set and are cut out with coordinating Frosted Flurry dies (now 60% off!)

Inspiration is everywhere! Keep your eyes on the look out for it!

Christmas DSP can be used for other occasion cards! When I first saw this particular pattern in the Boughs of Holly DSP pack, I thought it would be great for masculine birthday cards. I created this card for my son’s birthday yesterday. The Tree of Friendship stamp set coordinates so well with it. And some embossing from the retired Pine Forest embossing folder adds a nice touch.
-Think outside the box with some of your Christmas DSP (especially the back side/more subtle patterned side of the paper) and create some all occasion cards!

- Fun fact - I always know how long I’ve been stamping because I started when I was pregnant with my first son. He just turned 27 yesterday so I’ve been stamping more than 27 years now. Hard to believe! Can’t imagine my life without my son and can’t imagine it without all the joy and connections stamping has brought me. Two incredible blessings in my life!!

Debossing? Huh, who knew there was such a term? I probably did this by mistake several times without knowing there was a cool term for it! 😉 But great idea to check out both sides of an embossed piece of cardstock. The debossed side might be the coolest!

On the next stop of our creative challenge, we are showing you debossing! It’s a subtle, yet fun detail to add to your crafts. Embossing gives you a special, pop-out design in your paper, but have you ever thought about turning that around? Our concept artist Kasia used the Stripes & Splatters Embossing Folder and flipped it over to create a cool debossed look. 😍

What embossing folder will you try this technique with? Share in a comment below!

Ho, ho, ho! 🎅🏼🎄🎅🏼🎄🎅🏼
Several of my Stampin’Up friends and customers have been Stampin’ Secret Santas for each other this November and December! They signed up through me for this fun job and then I assigned each Secret Santa another stamper to send cards to. The Secret Santas send cards at least weekly to their person and spread joy and fun with their cards! Here are some of the beautiful and festive cards they’ve been sending:

Another fun part of this Secret Santa program is that they all send photos of cards they send and receive to me and then I share them out with the group. Lots of great ideas!

We’ll have a “big reveal” of who the Santas are in early January. So much fun! Join us next year for Stampin’ Secret Santas! 🎅🏼🎄🎅🏼🎄🎅🏼

Hello! I loved this 4 Panel Z Fold card technique when I saw it demonstrated on YouTube so I decided to try it out with my own variety of designer series papers. I used one of my favorite Christmas DSP packs - Painted Christmas. I think it turned out beautifully, it is a great way to show the wonderful coordinating papers in a DSP pack and it was very fun to make!

Try it for a special card this holiday season or any time throughout the year!

Happy Weekend! Have you noticed the Whimsical Woodland embossing folder on p. 39 of the holiday mini catalog? It makes gorgeous cards! Here I embossed vellum with the folder on two of the cards and layered white ink directly on the folder before running the melon mambo panel through it for the center card. Add some red or silver rhinestones or flower trinkets (look like stars!) and you have a stunning card! Give this fabulous embossing folder a try! ❄️❄️❄️

I used the beautiful Christmas Season stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Labels dies. Blushing bride Elegant Faceted Gems add a pretty pop of dimension.

Happy Weekend! These elegantly beautiful cards were created with only stamping (no designer series paper). I used the Leaves of Holly stamp set. Sometimes it’s fun to just let the gorgeous stamping shine through!

The cards both feature soft succulent and evening evergreen two step stamped holly leaves. I used real red for the berries on the left card and cherry cobbler on the right side card.

Which color combo and/or card orientation do you prefer?

Happy Friday! Isn’t this Boughs of Holly designer series paper gorgeous? This particular sheet really caught my eye. I love the colors on it - soft succulent, evening evergreen, mossy meadows, old olive, poppy parade, cherry cobbler and sahara sand. So elegant and lovely together! The Leaves of Holly stamp set and coordinating dies add to the card and some soft succulent ribbon is the final touch. Easy enough to do multiples for your Christmas card list!

Happy Halloween! One of my very favorite Halloween cards from a few years ago. I love elegantly spooky cards. Have a fun and spooky day! 🎃👻🎃

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday - food, family, gratitude, not very commercialized and great colors and fall decor to go with it! 🍁🍂🦃
I broke down and got the Fond of Autumn stamp set (I knew I would eventually - it’s a gorgeous set!)
We created the beautiful card on the left at my stamp clubs last week, coloring in the two reverse images with Stampin’ Watercolor Pencils and Stampin’Blends. We then ran it through the Textiles embossing folder (retired) and added a pop of dimension with linen thread and some rustic enamel dots. Voila! Took a bit of time, but so pretty!
One of my stamp club members wanted to see what the card could look like without so much coloring. She stamped the two images in Cajun Craze ink and voila! A beautiful monochromatic card and fast and easy!

Send some Thanksgiving cards this year! It’s a somewhat forgotten holiday, but special for so many reasons! 🦃🍁🍂

What a neat way to add ribbon to a card or tag! And it doesn’t require tying a bow! 😉

From member Madeleine Mrotzek (): "With the help of Tear & Tape Adhesive, ribbon can be beautifully gathered. Attach a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive to the card front and loop the gift ribbon up and down, pressing the adhesive tape repeatedly. Then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the stamped greeting to the ribbon."
