Pre-orders for this weeks home pick up are currently open on our website! This is our second to last home bake of this season (our next will be April 9th).
We're happy to announce that we will be returning as a full season vendor this year at the Iowa City Farmer's Market which starts May 7th! Hope to see you all again downtown this year!


*PIES ARE BACK!* In honor of pie day (3/14) next monday, this weeks pre-order menu includes some extended pie choices including everyone's favorite peanut butter and french silk pies, which we are offering whole, mini, and by the slice! In addition, we are also offering 3 different fillings in our hand pies: tart cherry, apple, and triple berry. Hope to see you all this Saturday!


Iowa City area friends, this week we are holding a very special Saturday bake! We will be joining baking from all over the world (and especially some wonderful bakers over in Des Moines!) in helping to raise funds for those in need in Ukraine. Please help us spread the word among all of your friends in the area about our bake!

Since the news of Russia's invasion broke out last week, I've been feeling absolutely devasted and hopeless in how to help those from so far away. I honestly spent every break I had during our overnight bake last Friday updating the news pages in horror and hope for the fighting taking place in Kyiv. For those of you who know me, my first response in helping others going through tough times has always been to show up with a fresh spread of baked goods. My love language has always been food and I'm so honored to be in a place now where I can donate a portion of our sales.

For this weekends bake, 100% of all sales on our lemon blueberry cruffins, along with 25% of all sales on all of our other offerings will be split and donated to 2 wonderful organizations.

The first is World Central kitchen @wckitchen which is on the border of Ukraine right now providing meals to those in need. As a cook in this industry the past 11 years, this organization is one that has always felt close to my heart and I'm so happy to be donating our sales to help such a worthy cause.

The second is Sunflower of Peace, a nonprofit organization that is raising money to prepare first aid medical tactical backpacks for paramedics and doctors on the front lines (which feels especially fitting as I have 2 siblings in the medical field!)

For those of you who are new to us, all orders are taken through our website at under the saturday pre-order page which is open now until 9 PM this Thursday, 3/3. Pick ups take place on Saturday morning from our home located on the east side of Iowa City between 9 AM - 11:30 AM. (We could also be available for pick ups after 5 PM - just shoot us a message after your order!)


Cruffins are back on the pre-order menu this week! We're doing another run of everyone's favorite of blueberry lemon filling - then it might be about time soon for a good switch up! So happy to have these back on the menu and hope you are too!


Our Saturday pre-order menu is now live on our website and there's lot of goodies (including a few new items!) in there to split and share for this upcoming Valentine's Day or Superbowl party! We have added back in pain au Chocolat, french silk pies, and mini lemon meringue tarts which were much loved on our holiday menu! And for this week only and in small numbers, we are offering Strawberry Passionfruit Frasier's which are definitely not to be missed!

And say hello to our newest cookie: a blend of flakey sea salt, milk chocolate, housemade caramels, and brown butter. This cookie is definitely not the best missed!


Our pre-order menu for this Saturday is officially open - and exciting news: We have officially added both our Isigny butter croissant and almond croissants back to the menu! (and will hopefully be able to add back the rest of our croissant variations by next week!) If you've been out of the loop, since December we've been experiencing a massive struggle with our usual stone ground flour in our croissant dough and have finally reached a solution that's stable. Our croissants are now a blend of our stone ground ground flour and a French T45 flour. We are hoping to be able to move back to a full 100% stone ground flour croissant again, but for now this has been the best solution we have been able to reach that is still delicious. I'll be sure to keep you updated as we go! P.S. there has been a lot of baking testing going down these past few weeks, so look out for some awesome new additions next month!


Last few hours before pre-orders for this Saturday close at 9 PM tonight! And who doesn't want to start off their weekend by scoring a delicious pecan sticky bun? Made by taking our fluffy cinnamon rolls to the next level by baking them in a sticky brown sugar toffee with whole pecans. These were always the first item we sold out of at the markets, so they are definitely not to be missed!


We're back and our first home bake of the year is now live for you to order from on our website! And we even have 3 new items for you to order from - a 3 layer brownie with coffee custard and caramel cream, a dark chocolate caramel tart, and a chocolate raspberry entremet cake. And I will say - the brownie is not to be missed, it's one of my favorite desserts I've ever dreamed up and is so perfectly well balanced I've been eating snacks of it for days now. Oh and p.s. we are doing another run of a mini version of these peanut butter pies as it was highly requested!

In case you missed our stories yesterday, all of our croissant based items are shown as 'sold out' and will not be for sale at the moment. We are having major issues with our croissant doughs and think we have finally identified the root of the problem. We are working on finding the best solution that works for us and expect it might take us around 2-3 weeks to reformat our recipe to where I feel happy to serve it to you again. My best hope is that they will definitely be back by the end of this month and I will keep you updated on our progress as we go. Fingers crossed!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone! We are officially finished with our last bake of the year and I am so gratefully for all of you who have come out to support us in our first year of baking!

We will be taking next weekend off to rest and restock on ingredients (we need to make a trip into Chicago for some) and should hopefully be back that 2nd weekend in January. As a lot of you have been asking: as of now we are planning to continue our Saturday bake offs with pick ups from our home until the markets start up again in May (weather and demand permitting!). I have a long list of ideas and new recipes for where I want to grow this business in this next year so hope to see you all again soon!

It includes the full selection of our 12 different holiday cookies, all made with flour from our favorite farm and mill @janiesmill
We also have a great selection of pies, candies, pastries and build your own cookie boxes available for pick up on Dec. 23 or Dec 24th!
Building this menu has been the most extensive challenge I've taken on to date and I'm so excited that it's finally done and up for all of you to order from! Hope to see you all then!
