Help officers practice skills to help people in crisis by volunteering to role-play during their Crisis Intervention Training!
Officers are often the first responders when there's a mental health crisis. This week-long training teaches them about active listening, de-escalation, and resources they can draw upon like mobile crisis. Peer Support Specialists and speakers from NAMI make up part of this training. If you're interested in helping, they're looking for volunteers to role-play. Sign up here:
