If you made it to our last home bout you got to hear 101 skater Gender Bender providing some entertaining commentary as our announcer. They did a great job and today we celebrate their birthday! Wishing you the happiest of birthdays Bender!

The derby community tragically and suddenly lost one of our own earlier this month. Amanda was a beloved friend and teammate to many, and we are deeply saddened to have lost her so soon. Yet another June birthday! Today we are celebrating Animal! Animal started out with OCCRD before moving away and skating in both Alaska and Minnesota and eventually returning home. Animal has brought back her skills and knowledge and is not only a great skater but a great mentor and team captain as well. Happy birthday Animal! 🛼🎉

These talented skaters will join the national team as it preps for the World Cup of Roller Derby in Austria in 2025. We are here for it!

As we wrap up our spring season, we'd like to take a moment to thank our incredible refs! Derby refs are all volunteers who work long weekend after long weekend to keep this sport going strong. This season has been especially busy, not just for OCC but for many teams across the country, and refs have been zooming all over to make sure games can happen. They are amazing skaters and incredibly knowledgeable, and literally none of this could happen without them. Thank you thank you THANK YOU! And thank you Mark Young and Donna Carrigan Olmstead for these lovely pics!
