We had a wild adventure on World Bee Day!

I went outside to let the cats into the pool fence, and when I returned not 10 minutes later, the yard was buzzing!

We realized this colony of bees chose our forsythia shrubs as a temporary hangout while they searched for a new home. “swarming” like this is what colonies do when they outgrow their home! The current queen and half the worker bees head off to find a new home while the remaining bees stay to raise a new queen.

They were so gentle, and it was amazing to see so many of them close up!

As it turns out, Honey bee colonies trying to make it on their own have a low survival rate in Connecticut. (A combination of the cold, pesticide use, bee mites, and bears, oh my!)

So I turned to my local FB group to see if any local beekeepers had a home for them.

I couldn’t believe how much interest there was!

But finally, it was lovely local farmer Lacie who came to the rescue.

She taught us so much about bee keeping. She talked us through the whole process and let us watch as she transferred the bees into a temporary home.

I don’t think I’ll become a bee keeper any time soon, but it definitely gave me a massive appreciation for the bees!

P.s. while we rely on bees for agriculture pollination here in the US, did you know that they’re actually not even native?!! They were brought here from Europe! (A little reminder that immigrants make America great! 🐝❤️)

happy belated World Bee Day!

A bunch of random tiny objects I’ve made recently in no particular order!

Do you have a favorite?

A few of these were for client projects (like the slurpee machine!) but they just make me so happy that I thought they deserved a little showcase. I was totally inspired by .minis slushee machine and how she added so much hand crafted detail. Go checkout her BTS video to see how she brought hers to life!

I love making plants and baskets, but I really need to keep practicing so that I can make different styles and shapes.

In the coming weeks I’m headed to and I’m so excited to learn from the experts. On top of that I’ve just signed up for classes from some of my favorite artists at the Philly show: and

Learning and experimenting every day!

made a few little upgrades to “The Looker” Play Kit. To celebrate, I made both of these extra special details in mini form. My nieces have loved growing up with Lovevery, and I have a feeling these tiny products will find their way into their dollhouses before long.

The Looker Play Kit is perfect for babies 0-12 months, and these two new “little” additions to the kit have big impact. The “Look at Me Ladybug” helps advance visual tracking skills, with contrasting colors, and the best click-clackity sound. The “We’re Awake” Board Book and lullaby are perfect for easing back to sleep during nighttime wakings. I know it will be a recurring gift for all the new parents in my life

Can I show you some tiny things I’ve made lately?

I was very excited to put my newly made mini plants to use in my latest project for Brooklinen. The little cactus spikes GIVE ME LIFE.

For the mirrors I made some maple wavy frames. I made two! I spent a ton of time on them! And then guess what- I barely filmed in the sink area so nobody saw them 😂 but I really love them so much so I’ll find a use for them someday.

The ROBES. Are you KIDDING ME? I got my first robe from Brooklinen almost 2 years ago. You don’t want to know how many hours I’ve spent in it. But probably close to 15,000.

I made a pattern and sewed these to bring them to life. Now I need an excuse to make 100 more because it was just so much fun. I’ll post a BTS of the process soon!

I was definitely channeling the 90’s ikea catalog for this build. It might be my favorite mini bathroom yet!?! (I think I say this with every mini bathroom I make)

If you haven’t seen it in its glory check out my latest Reel ❤️
