Happy birthday to Circle K International, one of Kiwanis' Service Leadership Programs! 🎉 Thank you for 75 years of shaping students into compassionate leaders and preparing them to lead in life! #ChooseCKI
We asked, and you shared! Circle K International alumni from around the world sent us their favorite photos and stories. Kiwanian Eugene Law, 2012-13 West Chester University CKI member, recalls:

“I have fantastic memories of serving communities via the Kiwanis family. My favorite service projects included decorating downtown West Chester with Christmas greens, helping out with the YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day festivals and more. Also, we sold pretzels to help raise funds for The Eliminate Project to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus.

I, and other CKI alumni around the world, know how Kiwanis’ Service Leadership Programs brought us to where we are today. A toast to CKI’s milestone 75th anniversary!” ⭐
Trivia time! The first person to comment below with the correct answer will receive US$25 for the Kiwanis Family Store. Are you ready?

Q: The first Circle K International club was chartered in which U.S. state? (Hint: It’s where these photos from the 1979 Circle K International Convention were snapped.)

A: Illinois! The first official CKI club was chartered at Carthage College in 1947, and the 1979 Circle K International Convention was held in Chicago. Congratulations to Angelo, and thanks to all for playing!

Congratulations to all the class of 2022. As you move on to your next step, if that is college, you can continue giving back to your communities through Circle K International. Circle K, a college service organization, a branch of Kiwanis International, just like Key Club!

"I’ve been reflecting and thinking about what makes this organization so special. It’s not the service projects. It’s not the global network. It’s the people. When I’m at a low point, or looking for counsel, yes, I’ll occasionally call my parents. But more often, I’ll call the Kiwanians who have mentored me. When I couldn’t decide on a career opportunity after college, I called my district administrator Mike Olivo, who sat on the phone with me for hours and coached me through a decision. And when I graduated college, more Kiwanians called to congratulate me and ask questions than my own family. Kiwanis IS a family.” 2021-22 Circle K International President Kyle Lank
