Endenbough Wood harbors a fugitive...

Deemed a traitor by his own people, Fiver lives the life of an outcast, hiding in the Wood from the war between Boqua and Lucia. As he uses his survival skills to stay alive, Fiver is haunted by his past as a child soldier in the Boquan army, where he was raised to hate all Lucians.

But when his safe haven is threatened, and his former commander, Abraham Gallander, comes dangerously close to discovering him, Fiver is forced to team up with an unlikely ally: Lukas, a young man from Lucia. Together they form an awkward friendship, working with each other to find Lukas’ mother and stop the destruction of the Wood.

But finding Fiver isn’t the only thing Gallander wants. He’s holding Fiver’s father prisoner, forcing him to work on a secret serum project that will wipe Lucia off the map. A serum that Fiver is the key to completing.

All Fiver wanted was to live his life alone and safe in his Wood. But if Gallander succeeds, chaos and death with reign. Can Fiver face the terrible secrets of his past and overcome the hatred between Boqua and Lucia before both are completely destroyed?
