310TH/316TH FIELD FEEDING TEAM INTEGRATE AT OSJ

CAMP SHELBY, Miss. – Life in the field as a culinary specialist can be hectic – feeding large groups of Soldiers in tough field conditions has its challenges. Soldiers of the 771st and 786th Field Feeding teams from the 310th and 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Commands are doing exactly that in support of Operation Sentinel Justice, working in the humid heat of Mississippi.

The two teams have combined to feed Soldiers in the field, all while being evaluated on their performance as a unit. The days are long, and the heat intense, as they deal with multiple relocations in the field, counter unmanned aerial systems (UAS) attacks, and a multitude of other training: all while maintaining their regular duties feeding Soldiers of the exercise.

643RD HOLDS CHANGE OF COMMAND CEREMONY

The 643rd Regional Support Group, out of Columbus, OH, held a change of command ceremony on Saturday, June 6th, 2026.

Outgoing 643rd RSG Commander, Col. David Haynes, spoke about the importance of staying technologically ahead of the curve and aware of the dangers of current trends as he addressed the troops.

Incoming commander, Col. Louis Foust, formerly of the 377th Theater Sustainment Command, shared his excitement and willingness to continue the foundation set by Col. Haynes.

The change of command is a time-honored military tradition that formally transfers authority and responsibility of a unit from one commander to another, ensuring the unit is never without leadership. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the formation snapped to attention and sounded off with the 643rd RSG motto: One team. One Fight.

310TH SUPPORT MAINTENANCE COMPANY ATTENDS JRTC

The ability to service, repair, and maintain equipment is paramount. Support Maintenance Companies (SMCs) are designed to keep combat and support units operational by repairing and returning equipment to service. The service they provide enables equipment to operate to its fullest capability and to continue the mission.

The 818 SMC has spent the past few weeks immersed in the Joint Readiness Training Center's (JRTC) premier training rotation at Ft Polk, LA. JRTC’s training events are built to put units to the test in an austere simulated combat environment. The 818 SMC was there to show out, demonstrating their capabilities in the southern heat of Louisiana.

JOB WELL DONE 818 SMC!
