Brookside Cemetery

Came out today to clean up from the wind storm last week and before the wind gets bad again today. Looks like someone has come and helped pick up trash from Friday. So to whoever that was thank you!!!

If you have Christmas decorations you are wanting to keep please get those picked up this week. Anything left will be disposed of. We will be cleaning up to start mowing very soon with this warmer weather.

Reminder that the cemetery Gravel Drives are not an active roadway. It is posted many places for No Thru Traffic. There are many that use the cemetery as a shortcut to South Ford St and Erie St. We spent Thousands of dollars this spring to add gravel to the east side of the cemetery and the main drive already looks like it did before the fresh gravel. Also your speed should not exceed 10MPH while visiting.

Reminder it is past time to remove all Summer and Spring decor. We will be disposing of anything left behind here very soon. Winter and Christmas decor may begin Nov 1st.

It appears someone in the last day or two. Has run into one of our new flagpoles. It appears that maybe someone backed up after visiting and bumped into it. If anyone knows about the situation please message us.

Another round of storms and another tree down in the cemetery. Please avoid the area until we can get it cleaned up.

With this storm as well. If you have recently placed flowers or trinkets. There are multiple scattered across the entire 17 acres. If things are labeled we will try to replace they go. Otherwise you might stop by and try to locate your things.

We have some Damage here at the cemetery. Please avoid these areas if you come to visit. Pray for those around us that have suffered far worse damage!

Goodbye Summer. It is time for the removal of Summertime floral arrangements and decorations. Please have all summer/spring decorations removed by October 1st. We will begin to remove what has been left after this date.
Fall decorations may begin now and through November. Reminder that Christmas/Winter decorations are not allowed until after November 1st.

Today we remember our Fallen Heroes.

Today Lapel Middle School 7th graders cleaned some of our older headstones. They also helped us place our Memorial flags for our Veterans. Thank you for your help.
