In the winter, ceiling fans need to spin clockwise on low speed (any faster and you'll start to feel a cool breeze). This creates an updraft that helps move warm air trapped near the ceiling back out and around the room.
Here's a great tip... Because water evaporates quickly when you turn on the furnace, pour cooking oil, or even Bacon grease, down the floor drains, to prevent sewer gas from filling your home everytime the heat kicks on.

Think about the direction you're ceiling fan turns... Fall is here clockwise is what you need.
Use your ceiling fans...
Most fans are built for year-round use, and taking advantage of this can help homeowners improve their energy savings. According to estimates by the U.S. Department of Energy, correctly using a ceiling fan can save on both cooling and heating costs. When used in conjunction with air conditioning in summer, you can raise the thermostat 4 degrees with no loss of comfort and recoup up to 30 % on your energy bills; in winter, you can expect to cut costs by up to 15 %
counterclockwise in the summer, so the blades push cooler air down in a column. This is the best ceiling fan direction for air conditioning since it makes the air feel cooler than it is. It allows you to turn your thermostat up a few degrees.

Me and Chris Rapp this is a 6/7 ft root ball .
And again it's time to clean your disposal fill it full of ice to the brim turn it on And add a quarter cup of cooking oil and a sq**rt of Dish Soap. Now Every 3 minutes or so turn the water on for just a second. This will freeze the food thats stuck around the rim, making the Horrendous smell go away the ice will deber the blades when the ice is gone run hot water for several minutes and you'll have a nice clean sharp disposal. Good luck to all

Assisted flush toilet exploded! Never seen this before
This is the finished job. Toilet was moved. From 10" to 12" away from the back wall and centered between the side wall and the vanity. And every fitting glued lol

Caller... Good morning my basement has flooded and I don't think my sump pump is working. I went downstairs and shut the water off but The power is off so my pump isn't working.

Inside your water heater... kinda makes you wish for a water softener?

When someone tries to fix a delta shower valve, but is not aware of the design flaws

OK I want everyone to cautiously turn on your outside hose bib and immediately with it running go into your house into the basement to make suure it's not leaking .if it is call me I'll take care of you
Spring is just around the corner. If you left your hose hooked up,be sure and check for basement leaks when you first turn it on
Sorry forgot to post this reminder..... make sure your hose is disconnected. Don't want to have any floods come spring
Turkey skin and or giblets, do NOT go in the disposal

New shower

This is a modular home in oak grove. We removed the joist liner and insulation to find abs waste lines not connected to anything. All waste from kitchen sink, shower and lav had been soaking into the fiber glass and it smelled terrible. We cut it all out and replaced it with pvc

Finally, done for the night. No more emergency calls for me tonight.
I think there are more broken water lines this year then the past 2 years! And ,lack of sleep
Remember to turn your heat up make sure your ceiling fans are on and in the Winter position and just leave them on
Good news it's not too late to unhook your hose
so, here we are .competing with the big boys.....not really a competition.but maybe I should tell you a story ?
the big boys, have changed the way we all do business.they set the prices and get most of the work .but are you getting your money's worth? no way!
you are paying above premium.and in most cases your getting a laborer that calls himself a plumber, but really has no clue...
they will ruin our industry and make as much money as they can, then go bankrupt ,again....
they offer you warranty ,but not much more.
idiots at the wheel, trying to fix your plumbing, as cheeply as possible and with as little knowledge as a buffoon.
this is your home...you should demand a licensed plumber,if your going to put your life in someones hands.not a ride along helper thats been to 50 jobs in order to be a plumber.lol no training from a professional just another sales person, out to scare you,or con you out of your money. a customer called me the other day ,they had the big boys out and the estimate was 14 thousand dollars to replace a sewer??? something that we in the area would normally charge 3 to 4 thousand to do.....
now just one more thing.....try to get a water heater installed for less than $1500.00 lol. call the hometown guys to get a professional installer and for less money or call the big boys!
thank you for reading please share
Thanks Brett kratzer and family for the Bass Pro gift card I will use it well
