In September of 1990, in Huntsville, Al, Cai was born to Michael and Sonia. He grew up on the busy street of university drive in various housing developments in that area. Cai graduated with an Advanced Diploma from Butler Sr. High School in May of 2009. Cai is married to his high school sweetheart Dominique and is grateful to have a wife that supports his passion for music. Cai found his love of
music through his mom and dad, which both have an eclectic taste for all genres of music. He grew up listening to artists like Prince, Pearl Jam, The Cranberries, Tribe Called Quest, and Outkast. Cai confessed hope in Christ at the age of 9, and experienced a true conversion and was baptized at the age of 12. It was then that God connected Cai's interest in music to the edification of the body of Christ. He sang in the church choir and eventually accepted the call into the Gospel Ministry at age 15. A few of Cai's current favorite artists are, Mali Music, Jesus Culture, Hillsong, S.O. ,Beautiful Eulogy, and Trip Lee. Cai has been writing lyrics for Christ for 6 years. It is now that God has allowed him to share the music with the world. "My ultimate goal as an artist is for God to be glorified and mankind to be compelled to Christ through the music.
