Shout-out to Hatch graduate Teayania for recently being named Employee of the Week at her new job! We love celebrating the successes of both our current students and alumni.
This summer, Teayania interviewed for and accepted a position at the Bar Harbor Inn in Bar Harbor, Maine. She has applied the training she received at Hatch, along with experience gained through our partners at Yedla Hotels, to spread her wings and pursue new opportunities.
Special thanks to all of our employment partners, including the recently added Witham Family Hotels in Maine, for the experience and mentorship you offer!
Congratulations, Teayania!

What a special evening celebrating five years of HATCH!
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate this milestone with us. HATCH truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for the partners who make this program possible — our restaurant partners, employment partners, referral partners, guest speakers, community supporters, and everyone who continues to believe in our students and our mission.
A very special thank you to our amazing HATCH staff, who show up every day to run this program with heart, excellence, and dedication.
We were also honored to present Mel Bradford with an award recognizing his five years of dedicated service to HATCH. Mel has steadfastly and continuously volunteered every Thursday during the program to drive our students on field trips, helping make those experiences possible year after year.
We also want to thank Woody Anderson Ford— not only for providing the van for those field trips, but most importantly for providing the space where HATCH operates at the dealership. Their support has been foundational to our program.
It has been an amazing five years, and we cannot wait to see what the next five years bring. Thank you for being part of the HATCH village!

Sincere thanks to HATCH and continued success to all of you! We appreciate the honor and are proud to serve you and our community.
Full hearts, full plates, and a full day of purpose 💝🍽️✨
Today’s Generosity Give-Back Luncheon was extra special as our students had the honor of serving United Way—not only a valued partner of HATCH, but a cornerstone in our community providing critical resources, support services, and wraparound care for individuals and families. From financial assistance to education, health, and stability initiatives, United Way of Madison County in Huntsville Alabama is truly on the front lines of helping people thrive.
Our students brought the love to the table—preparing a delicious chicken lasagna with fresh, from-scratch pasta, paired with a crisp salad and flavorful garlic bread. Every bite was made with intention, pride, and a spirit of giving back.
And the day didn’t stop there…
We explored the creative heartbeat of our city at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, where students experienced a wide range of artistic expression and even enjoyed tea at Piper and Leaf Tea Co.. 🍃
To close it out on a sweet note, we visited Pizzelle's Confections, where students got to witness firsthand the artistry and craftsmanship behind some of the most beautiful (and delicious!) chocolates around 🍫✨
From serving our community to being inspired by it—today was a reminder of what’s possible when purpose meets passion.
As Week 4 comes to a close, we’re excited to see our C-24 students pushing toward the finish line—they’re halfway there! 💥
