🩷Dirt, Ducks & Doohickies💚
It’s hard not to do a double-take when you pass a Jeep and see a dashboard lined with a row of rubber ducks. Those little ducks are part of a culture built on small gestures that make a community feel a little more connected, even between total strangers.
Dirt, Ducks & Doohickies is an online shop run by a local who is just starting out, leaning into the creative side of the hobby and finding ways to share that fun. While the shop is a place to find things like the iconic CelebriDucks to gift a fellow driver, there is a real focus on the custom work as well.
Powered by a dream and a 3D printer, this small business creates custom “doohickies” such as badges and mounts you won’t find in big-box stores. Alongside hand-pressed apparel, it’s all about turning a genuine love for the Jeep community into something useful & personal.
Follow along for upcoming projects as the shop grows!

🌿 Tully’s Crumb Shop
Some things start small. Just an idea, a kitchen, and a lot of trial and error.
Tully’s Crumb Shop comes from Ashley and Wade Tully, high school sweethearts raising their family and building something together out of Andrews, IN.
What started with Wade’s love for cooking grew into Ashley finding her own rhythm with baking. She even began milling her own flour to make bread with a more natural style than what you find at the store.
Right now they’re baking from home and sharing it with the community however they can, with a long-term goal of turning it into a food truck.
You’ll be able to find them at local farmers markets this spring, but until then, they’re already getting their start one order at a time.
Give them a follow or keep an eye out. They’re just getting started. 🌾

April's Wrap-up! 💛
05/03/2026
I realized I’ve been hiding behind the paintbrush for a while, so with all the new faces here, I wanted to finally say hello. 👋
I’m Amanda, a lifetime local here in Huntington. This town has always been home, and I’ve loved seeing it grow and change right alongside me over the years.
Rocks & Roots Creative began not long after I lost my dad. Painting gave me somewhere to place my grief. What started as a small idea, sparked by my sister starting the Huntington Kindness Rocks group, slowly grew into something more.
After years of painting, but feeling disconnected from it, I picked up a brush again and began leaving hand-painted rocks around Huntington County. They’re small gifts for our local businesses, nonprofits, and the people who pour so much into this town.
I didn’t set out to create anything big. I just needed a reason to start again.
At the end of the day, it’s just me and a love for this place. I’m really glad you’re here. 🤍

💈 Diverse Kutz
Down on Jefferson Street, Diverse Kutz is the kind of place where you’re greeted with a smile and the steady hum of clippers the second you walk through the door. It’s a shop where you can lean back and feel like a regular instead of just a name on a schedule. They handle everything from clean fades and sharp beard work to the classics.
Owner Terry Washington has built a space that really reflects his heart for the community. Just good people doing great work and treating everyone who sits in their chair with genuine respect.

🌭There’s a specific kind of magic that returns to South Jefferson Street every spring. Since 1949, the B&K Rootbeer Stand has been a staple of Huntington, serving as a seasonal reminder that some traditions are worth keeping exactly as they are.
B&K isn't just about grabbing a quick bite; it’s about the experience of the classic drive-in. Coney dogs and root beer floats round out the experience. Whether you’re pulling up for car-hop service or visiting the walk-up window, there’s a nostalgic rhythm that feels like a step back in time. 🤎

🐾 Huntington County Humane Society
The Huntington County Humane Society has been a steady heart for our local animals for decades. They do so much more than provide shelter; they offer a soft place to land, medical care, and a bridge to a forever family. ❤️
Beyond finding homes, they are a wonderful community resource for responsible pet care. Whether you’re looking to adopt, volunteer, or donate, their doors (and hearts) are open!
