Today we are shining a spotlight on the amazing Speech-Language Pathologists of Developmental Therapy Center!

Our SLPs help children find their voices, build confidence, strengthen communication skills, improve feeding abilities, and connect with the world around them in meaningful ways.

They bring compassion, creativity, patience, and expertise to every session, and the impact they make on our children and families is truly special.

Please join us in celebrating our incredible speech team and learning a little more about the wonderful therapists behind the smiles.

At Developmental Therapy Center, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, and sometimes that means thinking outside the box.

When one of our little physical therapy patients became motivated by watching his grandfather mow the grass, our amazing PTA, Tim O'Connor, transformed a lawnmower into a custom walker designed just for him.

The result? A motivated little boy who was excited to practice walking during physical therapy while pushing his very own "lawnmower walker."

At DTC, we go to whatever measures it takes to help our patients reach their goals. Sometimes progress starts with a creative idea, a dedicated therapist, and a child who is excited to participate.

Moments like these remind us that therapy is about more than exercises. It’s about discovering what motivates each child and using those interests to build skills, confidence, and independence.

This is just one example of the creativity, compassion, and dedication our therapists bring to every session.

The evening began with an outstanding performance by Small Town, whose talent, energy, and stage presence kicked off the 25th Annual Valentine Celebration in spectacular fashion. Their performance immediately energized the crowd and set the tone for an unforgettable evening of entertainment and philanthropy.

One of the most exciting additions to this year's Valentine Celebration was the debut of Stormin' the Stage for a Cause. Rio Grande Football and University of Rio Grande Cheerleading split into two rival teams, Red Alert and Storm Surge, bringing plenty of energy, creativity, and competitive spirit to the stage. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and the crowd was treated to an unforgettable showdown. After an entertaining battle, Storm Surge emerged victorious as this year's champions. Congratulations, Storm Surge!

The excitement continued with our 10th Annual Local Celebrity Lip-Sync Battle, featuring incredible performances from St. Joseph Catholic Schools (St. Joseph Catholic School and St. Joseph Central Catholic High School), Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue, INC, EveryBODY Fitness, and Sandy's Cares. Each team brought unique and unforgettable moments to the stage.

Congratulations to Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue for capturing the title with their country flair, line dancing, and a special appearance by Calamity the mule!

To every participant, coach, cheerleader, volunteer, and supporter who helped bring these performances to life, thank you. The countless hours spent planning and rehearsing created memories that will last long after the final curtain call.

Thank you for sharing your time, talents, and enthusiasm in support of DTC's mission. You helped make our 25th Annual Valentine Celebration one for the record books. ❤️
