Trying to get teens interested in e-bike safety hasn’t been easy, honestly. So when a teen volunteer of Lion’s Heart Service Group stepped up and asked to organize an e-bike safety presentation as part of his leadership service project, we were floored.

This afternoon did not disappoint. Easily one of the best we’ve spent!

Wrapped up a long & 🥵 hot training week in Southern CA. This duo is now certified E- bike Instructors & will be putting this new knowledge to use May 2nd for our annual bike rodeo- Yee Haw!!!! We are hosting this event with CHP. There will be a course for pedal bicycles & for E- bikes! Student eBike Safety Program – Sign Up Now!

The Huntington Beach Police Department will host our next Student eBike Safety Program on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the HB Sports Complex (18100 Goldenwest St.). This course combines hands-on riding training with a safety presentation and a written test to help student riders learn the rules of the road and ride safely in our community.

Two sessions available (choose one):
• 9:00 – 11:30 AM
• 12:00 – 2:30 PM

NOTE: eBike and helmet required. Parents must attend with student riders to complete a waiver and participate in the training.

Students who successfully complete the course will receive a new school permit sticker. This training will be required for HB middle and high school students beginning this fall. Spots are limited, don’t miss this opportunity to build safer riding skills!

This program is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and with support from Super73.
