When Bunner and I met, we had 3 homes; my town house in Arkansas, his lake house, and a tiny house on the lake. This gave us the idea to start renting them out on Airbnb. We had little expectations and just figured it would bring in a little income. It took off!! Our locations were perfect for activities such as tailgating, BBB (Bikes, Blues and Barbecue), and other local activities/festivities in Arkansas. The lake also brought in fishermen and women, boaters, people there for festivals and events in the area as well as others just looking for pure relaxation. From this, we developed our own idea of a homestead on the lake. So far, we have laying hens, a rooster, guineas, bees, two cats, and two hunting dogs. We have dreams of having a petting farm and full homestead. We want to provide our guests, with fresh eggs, honey from our hives, and other homemade and home grown products. We plan to also sell at the local farmer’s markets. In addition, we plan to provide kayak rentals and fishing tours. Please help us out by sharing our small local business.
