WEDNESDAY WORD-Monday I was waiting for my hair appointment outside the salon. I arrived an hour early because I had a conference call and I wanted to be sure I wasn't driving when the meeting started.

I was trying desperately to focus when all of a sudden, firemen were running around my car, fire trucks, ambulances and police cars squealed up by the dozens and I couldn't focus to save my life! The building I was parked in front of had caught fire! Women with foil in their hair came running out, and I was blocked in by a water pump truck behind me. I watched the whole thing unfold right in front of my car, and was finally told about an electrical fire that had been contained with no one affected...other than the lady who had foils on her hair for that long! Needless to say, my appointment was rescheduled.

Maybe you feel like that is life for you in this season. You are watching the fires burn around you, but you feel stuck, with no way out! And the longer you sit there, the more anxious you become about how it will all end.

If that's you today, I have a promise for you that will not return void! Isaiah 43:2 (NIV) says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Not only does He promise that He will be with us and protect us, notice that word THROUGH. That means we are not staying there!

Today, saturate your mind with this promise. He is protecting you when (not if) you go through hard times, but you will come out on the other side safe with Him.

It’s easy to notice what is missing, what went wrong, what we wish were different, or what we’re still waiting for, but today, help us slow down long enough to recognize the blessings that are already surrounding us. Lord, today I am especially grateful for _____. Thank you for the prayers you have answered and even the ways you are working that we cannot yet see. Thank you for daily provision, unexpected kindness, people who love us, lessons learned, doors you've opened, and doors you've lovingly closed. When our minds begin to focus on what we lack, redirect our thoughts toward what You have already provided. Your Word says, 'Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Let our gratitude change our perspective, our words, our attitudes, and the way we treat others. We enter this Monday with thankful hearts, remembering that every good gift ultimately comes from You and we pray these things in Jesus' name, amen."

EIGHT moms/daughters met Jesus as their Savior at our "Power Pair" and "In Her Shoes" event in Carthage over the weekend!!!! What an AWESOME and fun time we had! Thank you Stillwaters CC! We love you! To God be the Glory!! Let's keep making Heaven crowded💗🙌

When life feels heavy, lift my eyes to You. Restore the joy that disappointment, worry, and weariness have tried to steal. Help me notice Your blessings, trust Your plans, and find reasons to smile even in difficult seasons. Your Word says, “The joy of the Lord is your strength" in Nehemiah 8:10. Lord, let Your joy be my strength today. May I carry it with me and share it with everyone I meet. Thank you for all the joy you bring and we pray these things in your name, amen."

FIVE!!!! Five girls raised their hands to receive Jesus at last night's "Power Pair" mom/daughter event and we are looking forward to an amazing day with the teen girls and their moms for "In Her Shoes." God is on the move here in Carthage!!
