Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me?
Up to seven times?
Jesus answered, “Not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
— Matthew 18:21–22
Peter thought he was being generous.
In his time, forgiving someone seven times already felt like going above and beyond.
But Jesus wasn’t giving a new number to count —
He was removing the limit altogether.
This verse isn’t about keeping score.
It’s about letting go of the idea that forgiveness has a maximum.
Forgiveness, according to Jesus, is not conditional.
It doesn’t depend on how many times someone fails you.
It doesn’t wait until the pain feels smaller.
It doesn’t stop once you feel you’ve “done enough.”
“Seventy-seven times” doesn’t mean endless tolerance of harm.
It means releasing resentment again and again —
choosing freedom over bitterness every time anger tries to return.
Forgiveness is not pretending the hurt didn’t happen.
It’s not excusing wrong behavior.
It’s not saying trust must instantly be restored.
Forgiveness is a decision —
a daily choice to refuse to let pain define your heart.
Jesus invites us to forgive the way God forgives us:
not reluctantly,
not sparingly,
but endlessly.
Because forgiveness isn’t for the person who hurt you —
it’s for the healing of your own soul.
Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting.
It means choosing peace over punishment.
Grace over grudges.
Love over pride.
And sometimes, forgiving “seventy-seven times”
means forgiving the same person
for the same wound
every time it tries to resurface in your heart.
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud…
— 1 Corinthians 13:4–7
Love, according to this verse, isn’t loud.
It doesn’t need to announce itself.
It doesn’t demand attention or recognition.
Love is patient — it waits, even when it’s uncomfortable.
It chooses understanding over frustration.
It stays when walking away would be easier.
Love is kind — not only when it’s convenient, but especially when it’s not.
Kindness is love made visible in everyday moments:
in how we speak, how we listen, how we treat people when no one is watching.
Love does not envy — it celebrates others without comparison.
It doesn’t measure itself against someone else’s blessings.
It knows that what is meant for you will never need to be taken from another.
Love does not boast — it doesn’t need applause.
It doesn’t give just to be seen giving.
True love serves quietly, trusting that meaning matters more than credit.
Love is not proud — it is humble.
It admits when it’s wrong.
It chooses peace over ego.
It understands that being right is less important than being loving.
In a season filled with noise, rush, and expectations,
this verse reminds us that love isn’t about perfection —
it’s about intention.
How we show up.
How we treat people.
How we choose patience, kindness, and humility again and again.
May we not just read these words,
but live them.
This season — and beyond. ❤️

**DEAR LORD**
Father God, thank You for every blessing You’ve given me.
In moments of weakness, You are my strength.

and remind me that I am never alone because You walk with me always.

WHEN GOD CLOSES A DOOR, IT IS NOT REJECTION. IT IS REDIRECTION.
There are seasons when you pray for something so deeply,
you fast, you hope, you wait,
and still, the door does not open.
You think it is an unanswered prayer.
You think you have been forgotten.
You think your faith is not enough.
But sometimes, the closed door is not God withholding something from you.
It is God protecting you from something you cannot see yet.
I remember a season when I prayed for opportunities that never pushed through.
I blamed myself.
I thought I was not good enough.
I thought God was disappointed in me.
But the more I walked with Him,
the more I realized that His silence was not punishment.
It was preparation.
Because God knows what is ahead,
and when He says no today,
He is really saying,
“My child, I have something better.”
And many of us forget this
when we see others succeeding faster.
When we see doors opening for people who seem more gifted, more favored.
We feel left behind.
But the truth is,
you are not late.
You are not rejected.
You are not overlooked by the Lord.
You are being positioned.
God closes doors that lead to harm.
God delays things that would destroy you if He gave them too soon.
God withholds things that would replace Him in your heart if you received them right now.
And when you finally look back,
you will thank Him
for every unanswered prayer that was actually protection.
For every delay that saved you.
For every redirection that shaped your character.
Because the truth is this:
If God has to close one door to guide you to the right one,
He will.
If He has to remove certain people to protect your purpose,
He will.
If He has to change your path so your heart can mature first,
He will.
His love is not only revealed in the blessings He gives,
but also in the doors He closes.
So if you are in a season of waiting,
do not panic.
Do not compare.
Do not rush.
Lift your eyes.
Steady your heart.
Trust His hands.
Because the same God who closes doors
is the same God who opens better ones
at the moment you least expect it
and most need it.
📖 Psalm 37:23
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.”
