Channelview Seniors In 1973 a group of five or six ladies started meeting in the old Flukinger Store building on Market Street.
The same year another group of fix or six ladies were meeting their homes.
1974 - All the ladies began meeting in the Flukinger Store building making ceramics.
1975 - Then Channelview Senior Citizens were organized.
1977 - Commissioner Jim Fonteno of Precinct 2 wanted to start a senior program & found our group of ladies all gather at the Flukinger Store building.
