This morning, 6/17, the SVMS band competed in the TMEA honor band process for the first time ever. I am proud to say that the SVMS Varsity band advanced from region to area and earned 9th place in the area. This achievement is exclusive to has earned the top 10 in the Houston area for 2C Middle School Band! We are super proud of the dedication, excellence, and work ethic of the SVMS band!”

GREAT NEWS!!! We are hosting a sports camp for our kids here on campus and it's FREE! It is open to current 6th and 7th graders (2025-2026). We will also provide breakfast and lunch. 🚨 CHEER TRYOUT REMINDER 🚨

Tryouts begin TOMORROW!!

All students trying out will stay after school. Students CANNOT leave and come back.

Tryouts will end at 6:00 PM and pick up will be in the back parking lot by Northgate.

All students trying out MUST have:
• An up-to-date physical on file
• 2 letters of recommendation
• Parents must have already spoken with Coach Brown

Come ready to work, have fun, and relax! This is going to be a fun next few days!!

Next week is Mental Health Awareness Week and in an effort to create " an opportunity for students, staff, and the community to come together, support one another, and promote understanding around mental health", we will have a dress up day for each day of the week

Mindful Monday: Wear green to represent growth, Balance, and well-being

Twin/team Tuesday: Dress alike with friends or wear a sports themed shirt to celebrate connection, friendship, and the power of not going through things alone

Wellness Wednesday: Dress in workout gear or comfy clothes to highlight the importance of caring for your body and mind.

Thoughtful Thursday: Wear a shirt with a positive message or create one!

Feel Good Friday: Wear school colors or bright, bold outfits to spread positivity!

It's the last day of Teacher Appreciation Week and we need YOUR help!
