The Alden tassel loafer is a long-standing pillar of American dress footwear, defined by its clean proportions and disciplined construction. Both the 662 in burnished tan calf and the 3403 in s***f suede are built on the refined Aberdeen last, which provides a slimmer, more dress-oriented silhouette than Alden’s handsewn or leisure models. A traditional Goodyear welted build with cork filling and steel shank ensures long wear and a gradual, individualized fit.

The 662 is cut from hand-finished calfskin, where subtle burnishing adds depth without overt ornament. It wears naturally with tailored clothing — particularly navy and mid-grey suiting — and reflects Alden’s understated approach to formal footwear.

The 3403 interprets the same form in Alden’s signature s***f suede. The soft nap tempers the loafer’s structure, making it an easy complement to flannels, tweeds, and refined casual dress while retaining the elegant line of the Aberdeen last.
