The short answer is: No. No, you did not.

If you have a weird parasocial obsession with this couple and you’re genuinely offended by what happened, you might want to step outside and touch some grass. 😅

You watched a video—or maybe several—of a content creator using the resources available to him to get attention on social media and make money to help pay for his mom’s cancer treatment.

He didn’t ask you for money.
He didn’t start a GoFundMe and lie about where the money was going.
He didn’t sell you some fake product.

He simply got your attention.

And honestly, it’s funny how comfortable people are turning other people’s breakups, family drama, cheating, grief, and worst moments into entertainment—until they realize the drama they were so emotionally invested in may not have been exactly what they thought it was.

You didn’t get scammed.

You just feel stupid for becoming emotionally invested in someone else’s relationship on the internet.

And those are two VERY different things. 😂
