🌟 $5 FRIDAY 🌟
It’s Five Dollar Friday! Next week we have 3 dogs going into the clinic for their heartworm treatment. Kina and Bubba will get their second round of treatment and Franny will get her first!
This is a very expensive part of rescue, but it is super necessary! We have to clear their heartworm before they are eligible for adoption!
Please consider skipping your coffee or sweet treat today and donating to our heartworm dogs to support their treatment!

Our sweet Hattie girl had to go to the vet today.
Hattie is one of our forever fosters. She has severe chronic allergies that affect her skin and eyes. We do pretty well with managing it, but the majority of the time we are treading water with it. She goes through these waves when it really flares up. Well this is probably the worst flare up we have seen. Her eyes are constantly creating goop and her skin is very angry. She has lost some patches of hair. We went to the vet today to try to get some reinforcements.
Hattie has developed a staph infection this go around and of course her ears are infected. We are adding antibiotics to her routine, got her ears packed, she is on a high dose of apoquel, special shampoo, and eye ointment.
I don’t think anyone is more ready for winter than Hattie and her foster mom. This season has really been bad with her allergies and it has been extremely difficult to keep it under control.
We definitely see Hattie’s age catching up to her. She doesn’t see or hear as well as she used to and she enjoys the slower pace of life these days. We love her and we are working hard to keep her healthy and comfortable.
Hattie had a very expensive day. Apoquel alone is extremely expensive. If you are willing to pitch in towards Hattie’s vet bills we would be so grateful! Links in comments!

🐾 PAWS AT HOME 🐾
Do you all remember Merlin?!
This is possibly one of the best updates! We weee so worried that he would have a hard time adjusting after transport and he is such a sensitive and gentle soul. This is for his mom…
“We just want you to know that Merlin has come to the right home! He is the sweetest, most cuddly boy, and we adore him. He would be most happy to have me sit on the couch all day and give him kisses, but every day he is getting more brave and trying new things.
We are so grateful to all of you and to Merlin for choosing us.“
Merlin found the best home! ♥️

‼️MEDICAL FUNDING NEEDED‼️
We have not seen any improvement in Alex’s leg. He is still pretty immobile with it and it has become more of a hinderance than anything.
We are scheduled to have his amputation done tomorrow and could use some help with it. I know we have had some big asks lately, but it’s just been the nature of rescue. Lots of needs and little resources.
We are anticipating about $600 for the amputation. If you would like to donate $5, $10, $25 towards we would be very grateful!
