Summer is officially here at Parks Youth Ranch, and we kicked it off with a Splash Day!
The kids enjoyed water fun, snowcones - thank you PYR Friends for serving them up! - music, and BBQ as they soaked up the start of summer together. Moments like these give our youth the chance to relax, laugh, and just be kids.
Here’s to a summer full of fun, memories, and new experiences at the Ranch.

Great day at the 3rd Annual Keepin’ it R.E.A.L. Mental Health Awareness Training. Such an educational and eye-opening experience on a topic that impacts so many. Grateful for the conversations, the knowledge shared, and the reminder of how important mental health awareness truly is.
Proud of our ED, Jada, for speaking on the power of yoga to “Reset, Refocus and Reconnect.” A meaningful message and a great reminder to slow down and take care of ourselves and each other.

At Parks Youth Ranch, being a trauma-informed agency means understanding that every youth who walks through our doors has experienced challenges that shape how they see the world, relationships, and themselves. Our approach is rooted in compassion, connection, and trust.
Jada, our Executive Director, is a certified TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) Practitioner, and our staff are trained in TBRI Caregiver Training to better support youth who have experienced trauma. We are proud to share that 75% of our staff are currently TBRI Caregiver trained, with the goal of becoming 100% trained as an organization.
TBRI helps create environments where youth feel safe, valued, connected, and empowered to heal and grow. At PYR, that commitment is part of everything we do.
