Just a couple of mood boards I made and presented to a client last week! We are focusing on their entry, great room, and primary bedroom. My client loves organic modern with a little rustic and mid century thrown in. I’m very excited to see the project come together!

I needed a big THING for the bottom shelf of this console table and this shell sculpture from is perfect! I love how the more delicate coastal accessories are anchored by the dark table so it doesn’t feel too “on the nose” beachy.

Head on over to stories to get the deets on creating a custom designer look with off-the-rack draperies!

This 80’s home was in serious need of a makeover when I first arrived. It still had its original carpeting and wood paneling on the walls! We replaced the carpeting with new luxury vinyl plank and the wood paneling with sheet rock that we painted a warm neutral gray. The original brick fireplace got painted a lovely deep green that I then accented with gorgeous wallpaper. Modern furnishings contrast nicely against the homes traditional architecture and create the eclectic feel the client loves. We also recovered two antique wingback chairs the client had in a modern yet classic stripe to add a little vintage into the mix. Artwork, accessories, and drapery complete this modern eclectic space!

Check out this before and after! Oftentimes you don’t have to make big changes to have BIG results. When this client came to me, she needed help finishing off a space that she had already started, but just got stuck.
She had started swapping out her more traditional furniture and decor for the contemporary glam style she loves, but just needed some help with the finishing touches. I’m always so excited to see what a little accessorizing can do, and sometimes the impact even surprises me!
We of course kept the clients newly purchased velvet sofa and chair and finished the space out with a new coffee table, side tables, art, pillows and decor.
All decor items were purchased from Wayfair, Home Goods, and Target which goes to show you don’t need to spend on high end designer items to get stunning results and that’s why I love making good design accessible to all! *before’s at the end*

Let’s talk about utilizing items you already have to create cute moments throughout your home. In the winter months, I love burning candles at home so I typically leave one out on my kitchen counter. Instead of just having a random candle sitting out, I wanted to create a purposeful display that was also functional, so off to Target I went to find a cute tray to ground my vignette!
As I was debating what size tray to get, I noticed a couple of cake stands and charcuterie boards out of the corner of my eye and inspiration struck! Wait a minute, I HAVE both a cake stand AND a charcuterie board at home that were given to me as house warming presents and have been collecting dust in a cabinet ever since!
When I got home I pulled both out to play with and ended up liking the charcuterie board best for this application. The moral of the story? Think outside the box when you’re decorating, particularly in the kitchen. I love using spice racks and cook books to create beautiful vignettes in the kitchen.
Serveware is pretty and meant to be seen, yet it spends most of its time in a cabinet. Dig through your china cabinet and see if you have any pieces you could use to create a cute moment in your kitchen!
