A couple of weeks ago, our Atlanta team had the opportunity to connect with students and future industry leaders at the 2026 SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta.

Through hands on activities like our safety harness challenge, giveaways, and conversations around career opportunities, we shared what a career in construction can look like and the role safety, growth, and development play along the way.

Events like this create meaningful opportunities to engage with the next generation of skilled professionals, strengthen awareness of the trades, and continue investing in the future of our industry.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, participated, and spent time with our team. We are grateful to be part of conversations that help build stronger pathways into construction careers.

This Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, we recognize that mental health matters every single day.

In a world that often tells men to stay quiet, push through, and carry everything on their own, opening up about how you feel can feel difficult, but no one should have to face those moments alone.

The construction industry continues to face one of the highest su***de rates across industries, which makes creating space for honest conversations and encouraging people to seek support more important than ever.

We encourage everyone to check in with the people around them, take care of themselves, and remember that asking for help is a sign of strength.

Team scores again!

Our crew helped transform AT&T Stadium to meet FIFA requirements by modifying the field-level suites and supporting the conversion of the playing surface from artificial turf to natural grass.

Working alongside Precision Turf, the team helped install the gravel, sand, irrigation, and drainage systems before laying the new grass. It was a challenging process that took long days, strong coordination, and a commitment to getting the job done right.

A big shoutout to Robert B, Askary S, Julio S, and the entire crew for helping prepare this iconic venue for the global stage.

As a throwback, we’re looking back to 1987 and celebrating something that has always mattered to us: recognizing the people behind the work.

These service award photos capture employees being recognized for their years of dedication and the lasting impact they made through their time with MAREK, a tradition rooted in appreciation, connection, and the relationships built over time.

Since 1938, MAREK has continued to grow, but one thing has remained the same. We have always remained a family, built by people who support one another and take pride in what they do.

Celebrating work anniversaries and honoring years of commitment is something that continues to this day, and we’re grateful to carry that tradition forward.

As a fun fact and throwback from the MAREK archives, in 1998 our teams had the opportunity to work alongside former President Jimmy Carter and Habitat for Humanity to help build 100 homes in just 5 days.

It’s one of those moments that reminds us how meaningful construction can be when people come together with a shared purpose. We’re grateful to look back on projects that helped create lasting impact for families and communities.

Every multifamily project starts with a vision to create a place people are proud to call home. At Avelyn Manor in Austin, that vision came to life through a 264-unit residential community designed to serve residents with quality, comfort, and lasting value.

Our Austin multifamily team worked alongside Domain Builders, LLC and Steinberg Dickey Collaborative, LLP, Architects and Planners to help bring that vision to life through drywall assemblies and finishing that provided the foundation for each living space and shared amenity area.

Projects like Avelyn Manor are made possible through strong partnerships and the dedication of talented teams working toward a shared goal. We're grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this community and proud of our Austin multifamily team for the role they played in bringing it to life.

A couple of weeks ago, Bianca (Instructional Designer) and Shannon (Talent Development Manager) from our Talent Development team attended the Association for Talent Development - ATD's International Conference & EXPO in Los Angeles, where they spoke at a session focused on frontline development and growth. The conference created an opportunity to connect with industry leaders, share ideas, and learn new ways to support the people who drive the work forward every day.

Strong teams are built through continuous learning, meaningful conversations, and investing in people. Bringing back new perspectives and ideas helps strengthen leadership, support career growth, and create opportunities across the construction industry.

Summer is right around the corner, and our Houston residential (MBC) and Oak Forest Lumber Supply (OFLS) teams took time to celebrate the people who make the work possible every day, our employees in the field. From good food and cold drinks to games and plenty of laughs, it was a chance to step away from the jobsite and enjoy time together as a team.

Strong teams are built through more than just hard work. They are built through connection, support, and moments like these that remind us why the people beside us matter. Thank you for what you do each and every day.
