Yesterday, HAMFT hosted our “When a Child Enters Care: Foster Systems, Family Dynamics, and Clinical Practice” event, and it was such a meaningful and informative experience.

A special thank you to our speaker, Hattie Guske, LMFT-S, and our wonderful panelists Shazia Lightsey, LPC and Amanda Geffert, LMFT-S, LPC-S for sharing their knowledge, clinical insight, and real-world experience with us.

Through the presentation, panel discussion, and Q&A, we gained a deeper understanding of the foster care system, family dynamics, and the important role clinicians can play in supporting children, caregivers, and families during these transitions.

Thank you to everyone who attended, asked thoughtful questions, and helped create such an engaging learning space. We are grateful for this community and for opportunities to continue growing together as helping professionals.
