Lauren and Daniel’s iconic Biltmore postcards.

the spontaneous dance moves with mom before walking down the aisle, the veil floating in the breeze in front of the mansion, one last group shot at the end of the night.

you can’t find these moments in a shot list. it’s the people that make it all what it is. without them it’d just be a big day of pretend dress up, and we already have enough magazines touting that everywhere!

a classy evening celebrating Averey and Zachary at in Dallas, Texas.

after ceremony they ate a private dinner within a speakeasy before they spent the entire evening by one another’s side dancing the night away.

photographing my wife’s third pregnancy on the Leica m6.

a slow burn. a slow creativity. no scheduled session and no planned outfits—just 20 minutes of the last sunlight and the small pitter patter feet that make creating worth it all.

marriage is an extraordinary place to be. it’s a unique spot in life where you are asked to lay down your own ideas and desires for one another—yet in letting go you find exactly the place you wanted to be.

I love family sessions because I love my own family. This club of people that came from me and the one I love most. I heard once that if you want to change the world, start within the walls of your home, and I’ve only found that to be true.

If you want to see kindness, cultivate it.
If you want to see light push against darkness, teach it.
If you want to see humanity, practice it.

and along the way you’ll probably find small best friends.
