SKILLSHARE // Join us on Friday, October 25 from 6-8 PM for a creative journaling workshop with Scissors of Texas ()! ✨

In this session, teachers will learn various collage making techniques and how to construct simple zines as a method of sharing stories and communicating ideas in a classroom setting.
Scissors of Texas/Tijeras de Tejas is a Houston-based monthly meet-up focused on the medium of collage founded by artists Chasity Porter () and Anastasia Kirages (.llages). No previous skill is required, and all materials are provided. In addition to the third Tuesday meet-up, they host workshops and community events, as well as curate art shows.
The Skillshare program provides free, open-format arts workshops to Houston area educators led by professional artists. These workshops provide teachers with a space to share resources, engage in creative development, and explore ways to integrate visual arts across the classroom curriculum.
