This Memorial Day, we honor Doris Miller, a Navy mess attendant who became a hero during Pearl Harbor. In the middle of the attack, he carried wounded sailors to safety and operated an anti-aircraft gun without formal training, defending his ship under fire. His courage earned him the Navy Cross and made him one of the first Black American war heroes recognized by the U.S. military. Miller was later killed in action while serving during WWII. 🇺🇸

It’s graduation season across America and we’re so happy about it! Whether you are graduating from TAPS Academy, Middle School, Kindergarten or High School, a brighter future is ahead. Make good decisions and shine bright. ✨

At TAPS Academy, we believe mental health conversations matter. Teaching our youth healthy ways to cope, communicate, and care for themselves creates stronger futures and stronger communities.

Through TAPS Academy youth and law enforcement come together to learn and grow. Building real relationships and learning from each other. That’s the mission to create safe communities for all.

Our last day at Wheatley High School was bittersweet, but filled with lots of laughter. Each and every one of those students have a bright future ahead.

At TAPS Academy Columbus, our Buckeye Middle School students explored the importance of healthy relationships. With special guests from The Center for Family, Safety, and Healing, students actively participated in discussions and skits that taught valuable lessons about setting boundaries and building positive connections for the future.
