Today on Stop Food Waste Day, we’re proud to share that Sysco has joined the U.S. Food Waste Pact in collaboration with ReFED and World Wildlife Fund.
This partnership marks an important step forward in our commitment to reduce food waste across the supply chain. Sysco works closely with suppliers, customers and our operations teams to divert food from landfills by making donations to local charities, and contributing food waste to animal feed, composting and other outlets.

Sysco Hawaii and FreshPoint Hawaii colleagues stepped up to support communities across the islands of O’ahu, Moloka’i and Maui after devastating floods, partnering with nonprofit organizations like World Central Kitchen and the Hawai‘i Foodbank. Sysco Hawaii provided meals to families facing food insecurity and transported donated goods and essential supplies to the hardest-hit areas. FreshPoint Hawaii teamed up with local customer Kyo-ya Hotels Foundation and the Hawaii Agricultural Foundation to support local farmers impacted by the floods.
