FCCU has been in the community for over 70 years, originally serving employees of the Spring Branch Independent School District. In 1988, FCCU expanded membership to include the Greater Houston Area, thereafter adding Fort Bend and Montgomery Counties in the 2000s. As of 2025, we've expanded to an additional 38 Texas counties bringing us to a total of 41 Texas counties we serve between Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and more. From our small beginnings to our current $2.6 billion in assets, we pride ourselves on empowering our members to reach their financial goals. First Community continues to lead the way as a high-tech, high-touch credit union with leading digital services including Online and Mobile Banking, contactless cards, a digital card manager and wallets, mobile deposits, and more. 🎉 We did it, FCCU!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members and staff, FCCU collected more than 1,500 boxes of cereal during our summer food drive benefiting . Together, we surpassed our goal of 1,000 boxes by over 50%!
The cereal collected will help Kids' Meals create homemade trail mix for children and families facing food insecurity throughout the Greater Houston area. As the nation's only home-delivered meals program for preschool-aged children, Kids' Meals provides more than 20,000 free meals every day to hungry children.
To make an even greater impact, FCCU was proud to present a $5,000 donation to support their mission.
