Tuesday’s Tip: “Get rid of the definite no’s first!”

When sorting through your belongings to get rid of CLUTTER, sometimes it is easier to decide what you definitely don’t want, rather than what you do.
Example:
Have you ever had pictures taken by a Professional Photographer? Immediately following the photo shoot, the Photographer helps you sort through the pictures and ask you to FIRST pick the pictures that you don’t want. That narrows down your choices. By a process of elimination you decide on the pictures you like best, and that’s the ones you keep.

Tuesday’s Tip: Divide your ORGANIZING PROJECT into bite-size manageable pieces.
Example:
If you want to ORGANIZE your garage, but it seems overwhelming, divide the garage in 1/2. Tell yourself that you are only going to work on the 1/2 for now and that’s it. When you have conquered that 1/2, then you can begin to think about the other 1/2, but not until then.
Trust me, the sense of accomplishment from CONQUERING 1/2 of the garage will encourage and motivate you to conquer the other 1/2.

Tuesday’s Tip:

Tackle an ORGANIZING project by dividing it into zones. This is what I call “zone-thinking”.
Example:
If you want to organize your kitchen pantry, think ONLY about what it is you need to do to make that happen. Zone-out everything else. Zone-in (FOCUS) your efforts on the Pantry.
