Becoming empowered by prioritizing nourishment in your household is not a set back!
Disengaging from your food system and giving your dietary sovereignty to food manufacturers to feed your family without active participation or focused involvement/intention is not freedom…it’s disempowered and I’d even say dangerous as we’ve only seen leads to mental illness, metabolic and neurological disease including obesity, diabetes, cancer, autism, and ADHD.
This article fails to acknowledge the fact that with shifts in gender equality men are now taking more of an active role in food procurement and preparation than in the 1960s! Birth control and the push to UPF (ultra processed foods) in the name of feminism could both arguably be players in the decline of wellness in the American household.
Mamas if you are overwhelmed with your career and that’s causing you to compromise the nourishment of your household let’s put this into perspective…your legacy is in your household (where you are irreplaceable unlike your career). This sentiment is true for you Dads as well, it’s not about “brining home the bacon” if your wife is slaying at work as well…it’s about stepping up and taking the kids to the farmers market on the weekend, getting comfortable making a repertoire of real food meals to nourish your family, working with your wife in partnership as you too will witness the fruit of your labor in the household to pay greater dividends than any employer.
Let’s do this together because loving on our children and our families is the path to the richest life possible….happy, healthy, clear headed, free of disease, vibrant and well!

Oftentimes slowing down and taking the time to connect with nature and with God is necessary for emergence. Intentional use of your energy resources will be required to surge your blooms and beauty.
