🧳 DAY 8: GETTING TOOLS FOR THE TRIP! | Destination: New School Year 2026–27 ✈️
We are 8 weekdays away from departure! No travel journey is complete without packing the essential tools in your carry-on. Today, we’re making sure your baggage is packed and ready for day one!
Here is your Day 8 packing checklist:
✏️ School Supply Lists: Don't forget your packing list! You can find official supply lists for every grade level on our Back to School page: www.sheldonisd.com/backtoschool
🎒 Backpack Security Policy: Please remember that district policies require clear or mesh bags at ALL campuses!
👕 Dress Code: No uniforms needed! There are no school uniforms required for any campus this year—just be sure to follow standard district dress code guidelines.

Whether your student travels by bus or carpool, here is how you can make your daily travel plans:

King Academic School of Excellence (KASE) is Sheldon ISD’s school-of-choice program for students in grades 10–12 who may benefit from a smaller, structured, and individualized learning environment. Students complete coursework online with support from certified teachers while working toward graduation requirements.
Students should be prepared to attend regularly, arrive on time, work independently, and meet academic and behavioral expectations. During orientation, families will learn about the daily schedule, academic progress requirements, attendance expectations, and application process.
A parent or guardian should attend with the student. Please bring a recent transcript if the student is new to Sheldon ISD, current contact information, and a valid email address.

What an incredible day as we welcomed more than 80 amazing new educators to the One Sheldon family! Our New Teacher Academy was filled with excitement, encouragement, and community as we celebrated the outstanding individuals who will be making a difference in the lives of our students this school year. Our newest teachers received an unforgettable Panther welcome as they were greeted by the C.E. King High School Drumline, Cheerleaders, and Pantherettes, setting the tone for an exciting start to their Sheldon ISD journey! 🥁📣💙
A very special thank you to the Sheldon ISD Education Foundation and our incredible community partners and sponsors for making this event such a success. 🧳 FREQUENT FLYERS (Returning Students): Online check-in is required! Log into Skyward Family Access to update your residency documents and confirm your spot for take-off.

On Thursday, July 23rd, we officially cut the ribbon on our brand-new 9th & 10th Grade Campus—unveiling this incredible, state-of-the-art facility to our community for the very first time! 🏛️✨
The absolute highlight of the celebration was the guided tours led by our very own future 9th and 10th-grade students. Watching these impressive young leaders walk guests through their new classrooms, collaborative learning spaces, and innovative labs gave everyone an inspiring glimpse into the bright future of Sheldon ISD.
This campus is so much more than just a new building—it is a launchpad for big dreams, dynamic learning, and endless opportunities. Together, we are building a legacy where every student has the tools and space they need to thrive, lead, and succeed.
