AUGUST 2026 INDIVIDUAL TAX DUE DATES
💰 Tipped Employees: Don't Miss This Deadline!
If you earned more than $20 in tips during July, report them to your employer by August 10.
📝 Use IRS Form 4070 or a signed statement with your tip total.
⚠️ Reporting your tips helps ensure the correct Social Security, Medicare, and income taxes are withheld, helping you avoid unexpected tax bills later.
💰 Selling an asset with a capital gain in 2026? Here’s a tax tip! 👇
If you qualify, you may be able to defer your capital gains taxes by investing in a Qualified Opportunity Fund (QOF) within the 180-day window. 📅 Depending on when your gain is realized, waiting until 2027 to sell or invest could provide added tax planning benefits.
⚠️ Every situation is different, so talk with your tax professional before making a move!

Thinking about turning your rental property into your primary home before selling? Here’s what you need to know:
✅ You may be able to exclude up to $250,000 in gain if you’re single or $500,000 if you’re married filing jointly.
⚠️ But there are two major tax traps:
1️⃣ Depreciation Recapture – Any depreciation you claimed (or could have claimed) while the property was a rental is taxable when you sell.
2️⃣ Nonqualified Use Rule – If the property was rented after 2008, a portion of the gain may not qualify for the home sale exclusion.
To qualify for the exclusion, you generally must:
✔️ Own the home for at least 2 of the last 5 years
✔️ Live in it as your primary residence for at least 2 of the last 5 years
Before selling, make sure you:
📌 Keep records of improvements and depreciation
📌 Know your move-in and sale dates
📌 Recalculate your adjusted basis carefully
📌 Understand that timing can significantly impact your tax bill
A little planning can potentially save you thousands in taxes.
📩 Have questions about converting a rental into your primary residence? Let’s run the numbers and create a strategy that works for you.
Adulting really hits when you see your paycheck and realize the IRS already took their share first 😅💸
Work hard, get paid… then taxes remind you who the real business partner is.

🚨 Tax Time = Scam Season 🚨
Scammers love tax season. They may pretend to be the IRS to steal your SSN, bank info, or refund.
🚩 Red Flags:
• Urgent threats or “act now” messages
• Huge refund promises
• Requests for gift cards or wire transfers
• Emails/texts asking for personal info
Reminder: The IRS does NOT contact you by email, text, or social media. 📬
Don’t click suspicious links. Verify at IRS.gov. Consider an IP PIN for extra protection. 🔐
Stay alert. Protect your refund. 💼✨
I do my best thinking when I realize tax season is around the corner! 🧠💡
Suddenly I’m organized.
Focused.
Budgeting like a CFO. 😅📊
Tax season has a way of making everybody financially disciplined real quick! 💼✨
Don’t wait until the deadline panic hits 👀 — let’s get ahead of it now.
Let me know if you want it sassier, funnier, or more CEO-authority style 😎

“We’re profitable… so why does cash feel tight?”
Because profit isn’t cash.
💳 Customers pay late
👥 Payroll doesn’t wait
🧾 Taxes hit before you’re ready
Cash flow isn’t about math — it’s about timing.
Growth magnifies timing gaps.
And that’s where CFO thinking changes everything.
Profit keeps score.
Cash keeps you operating.
If it feels tight, it’s a signal — not a failure.
Let’s make your cash predictable. 💼✨
