I write biographical historical novels set during the French Renaissance. As much as I possibly can, I base my stories in historical fact. With a few exceptions, the women I write about are those that have slipped through the cracks of history, forgotten to most. Did you know that an obscure French noblewomen almost became Queen of France even before Henry IV took the throne? Have you ever wondered what life was like for one the most notorious courtesans in French history?
Those questions were my starting point. I love to write in first-person because I love the feeling that I’m getting someone’s life story directly from their own lips. If you enjoy the thrill of getting the facts directly from the source as much as I do, then I think you’ll love reading my books.
