A spray foam job can go wrong even when everything looks fine.
One simple question to ask:
Does your crew have a maintenance plan for their equipment?
A lot don’t.
And that’s a risk.
Spray foam depends on a precise 1:1 ratio between two components.
When equipment isn’t maintained properly, that ratio can drift.
That’s when you start to see:
• off-ratio foam
• inconsistent performance
• jobsite issues
• potential rework
Think about it like any piece of equipment.
If it’s not maintained, you can’t expect consistent results.
Simple fix:
Make sure your contractor has a clear maintenance plan and is actually following it.
Regular checks, proper cleaning, and knowing when to replace key parts all matter.
Not complicated.
But it’s one of those things that separates a professional operation from a risky one and keeps your project running smoothly.
