The FM-28:

- Enables high-speed serial (fiber optic or copper) connections into an FPGA’s MGT interfaces.

- Two QSFP/QSFP+ cages supports two (2) QSFP/QSFP+ transceiver modules enabling a wide range of transceivers with signaling rates up to 10Gb/sec per lane.

The FM-S18 is electrically compliant with the FMC standard. Due to the size of the quad SFP cage, the FM-S18 is classified as a mechanical superset of the FMC mechanical standards. Special attention should be paid to ensure that the FM-S18 is mechanically compatible if used with non-supported host carrier cards.

FMC – Octal SFP/SFP+ – Faster Technology LLC The FM-S18 is an FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) module that provides up to eight SFP/SFP+ module interfaces directly into Multi-Gigabit Transceivers (MGTs) of an AMD FPGA. The FM-S18 supports the industry standard Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP/SFP+) transceiver module interface.

The FM-S14 supports either 1.8 or 2.5 volt signaling to ensure interoperability across a wide range of Spartan, Virtex, Kintex, Artix and other FPGA families.
