💙 Happy News for Wesley! Woohoo!💙
Sometimes the perfect forever home is the one a kitten is already in.
Wesley's finder/foster family has decided that this adorable little tabby is right where he belongs, and they have officially made him part of the family! 🐾
What started as helping a kitten in need turned into finding a lifelong best friend. We couldn't be happier for Wesley and his family.
Congratulations, Wesley! May your days be filled with toys, treats, cuddles, and all the love you deserve. 🏡💕
People love to share rescue posts and say, “Someone please help them.”
But who is "someone"? We think someone can be you.
One of the hardest things for shelters and rescues to find is people willing to bottle-feed baby animals.
Yes, it is a round-the-clock job for a few weeks.
Yes, it takes instruction, patience, and practice.
But no one is born knowing how to bottle-feed kittens. Everyone who knows how had to learn. And for orphaned newborn animals, one person willing to learn can be the difference between life and death.
So the question to ask yourself is not, “Does someone need to help?”
The question is, “Could that someone be me?”
Will you be the person who says, “I can learn”?

"Tom O'Mally The Alley Cat" (his full legal name) has been adopted. This little guy was found alone in Alvin and the finder reached out to us for info on how to care for him. She quickly fell in love and adopted him before he even had a chance to "go on the market." He got his first wormer today and went home with some more to keep the wigglys away! Congrats to Tiny Tom and his new family.
Our new podcast episode today is about a reality many people do not know:
When infant kittens are taken to city or county shelters (vs rescues), they may be euthanized the same day.
Most municipal shelters lack the staff, supplies, or overnight fosters needed to care for bottle-fed kittens. If the kittens are too young to eat on their own (generally under 4 weeks old), the shelter may have no way to keep them alive, despite the good intentions and caring of the staff.
So when someone finds a litter of tiny kittens and thinks, “I’ll take them to the shelter so they’ll be safe,” they may actually be taking them to be euthanized.
This is not about blaming shelter staff. It is about telling the truth.
If you have determined a mother cat is not coming back, and the kittens need help, don't assume the shelter is the safest option.
Before you take them anywhere or allow animal control to pick them up, please listen to today’s episode.
We’re talking about what really happens, what to do first, and how ordinary people can be the reason these kittens survive.
