NorthGate Prayer
We are better together.
NorthGate Prayer is a relational community of pastors, leaders & churches gathered around Jesus and the continuing work of the Holy Spirit in the NorthGate of Houston.
ATTN NORTHGATE (North Houston Churches) - We are making a list of open prayer meetings in our region to post to the public. If your church has a regular prayer meeting or regular prayer sets that you are comfortable with inviting the general public to, feel free to add that information on this thread! We will then publish it on our sites etc. We are asking for prayer meetings attached to churches or established houses of prayer. I will also be gathering this info through additional means. Thanks!

"When my people humble themselves...."
THIS WEEK'S VERSE: 1 Corinthians 12:12-14
"Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by[a] one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many." (Read also Ephesians 2:13-14).
In Christ we have been made ONE. Did you know that the most segregated day in America is Sunday morning? Beloved, our witness should be exactly the opposite. Diversity is evidence of the spirit of God moving in our community.
This week, we invite you to repent for our region and a generation where racism and hate have continued. We repent for disunity in the Body of Christ where we've allowed politics, socioeconomics, race, language, etc to take precedence above Christ's love. This week, let us be intentional about blessing our brothers and sisters of different races, and not only declare that we are one in Christ, but commit to demonstrating it in practical ways and in ongoing relationships in the of Houston! Let's prepare our hearts this week!
THIS WEEK'S VERSE: Psalm 133:1-3
"How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore."
In the place of genuine unity, the Lord COMMANDS a blessing! This week, as we come together as one in prayer, would you take some time to pray specifically over the congregations in our region? Let the Lord give you HIS heart for each of the churches in our region.
