Ms. Kast, 3rd grade teacher at Burnet, embraces blended learning through hands-on, collaborative stations where students read, discuss, and respond to texts. Learners rotate between activities, building independence and critical thinking. Technology supports and extends learning, while small-group instruction and teamwork remain central to an engaging, student-centered classroom.

Odessa Pathway to Teaching and our Digital Learning team were proud to collaborate one Saturday each month to support future educators on their teaching journey. Today marked our final session together, where participants explored how technology can be used to create engaging, innovative, and student-centered classrooms.

It has been an honor investing in the next generation of teachers and helping equip them with the tools and mindset needed for today’s learners. We are excited to see all they accomplish in the future.

After seven incredible years, it’s time to sunset the Ambassador team. What started as a small cohort of 8 passionate educators grew into a thriving community of more than 50 teacher leaders who inspired others, embraced innovation, and helped transform classrooms across ECISD.

Our ambassadors didn’t just learn about technology—they modeled what great teaching looks like, piloted new tools, shared their expertise, collaborated monthly, and always kept students at the center of the work. Their impact created more engaging learning experiences for countless students and helped shape a culture of growth and creativity throughout our district.

To every educator who was part of the Tribe over the years: thank you. Thank you for leading, trying new things, supporting one another, and showing what’s possible when passionate teachers come together.

The fellowship may be ending, but the legacy of the will continue to live on in classrooms across Ector County ISD 💙

Whoohoo! ECISD’s finest Ector County ISD Blended Learning Learning Rockstars!

🌟 Blended Educators of the Week! 🌟
These superstar educators come from campuses throughout Ector County ISD. ECISD recently announced their outstanding Educators of the Year for each campus, and we were thrilled to see some very familiar names and faces among the honorees!
In fact, 14 of the 29 elementary educators recognized have taken one or more courses through UTeach PD. Many of these educators started their journey with us just this year, while others have taken multiple courses to obtain a professional certification through our program over the course of several years.
We hope it’s as validating for them as it is for us to see that blended learning works! These teachers and their incredible results are just one more reason we love serving educators across Texas. Seeing them succeed truly benefits the students in every one of their classrooms. 🚀✨
See all of the Ector County ISD honorees in the comments!
