📌 This Month’s Agenda

1️⃣ Flags for the Fallen Sunday May 24
We need volunteers to help place flags at Houston National Cemetery from 9am to roughly 11. Typically, we will meet at Dennies (15915 N. Freeway I45 77090) at the Flying J Travel Center around 730 and head to the Cemetery by 830 to get decent parking. After flags are placed, we can go to Heors on Louetta for lunch and socializing!

2️⃣ Boots 4 Troops — Donation items for raffles and auctions
We all know that B4T was incredibly generous to our post last year. We need to continue to pay this forward with additional donation items. Events coming up soon are:
• Crawfish at District 249 May 15-16
• Crawfish Critic Cookoff & Festival May 22-23. (Must be delivered by the 18th )
• Concert in the Country October 17-18. Not sure on a due date for this yet!

3️⃣ Hygiene and Clothing Donations for Houston VA
We’re collecting items for our next donation run:
• Soap
• Toothbrushes
• Deodorant
• Feminine products
• Other basic hygiene items
• Gently used clothing
Your generosity goes directly to veterans who need it most.

4️⃣ Volunteer sheet
Its time to calculate our volunteer hours.

5️⃣ May District meeting update — Eric Hardeman.
NOTE our next monthly meeting is JUNE 2nd! We will not have a regular meeting instead we will join District at our Post for an adventure. Please be in attendance and show support for our Post.

6️⃣ Flags Needed — Show Your Lineage
Commander Taton is building more flag poles and wants to display the branches, commands, and squadrons our members represent.
If you’d like your lineage honored, consider donating a flag or 3.

7️⃣ Membership Reminder
If you haven’t paid your dues yet, your membership has expired! We need to get you re registered ASAP — especially before dues increase.

All officer positions are open. Nominations may still be made from the floor on election night, so if someone wants to step up, this is their moment.

We’re supporting Boots 4 Troops again this year and they need help with parking lot operations at the Sam Houston Race Park.
• Training: April 15th (yes… Tax Day)
• Setup: Friday, April 17th
• Event: Saturday, April 18th
If you can point, wave, or look official while holding a flashlight, you’re qualified! Austin will have updates for us.
