My fellow TEXANS – let’s talk about electric bills.

I’m going to share a way to SLASH that bill with you that I’ve been recommending to family, friends, and clients for a while now.

Mine used to be insane. With 4 kids at home, and my husband and I both being self-employed, our electric bills were over $400 per month in our current home. Seriously!

We’ve all spent time shopping for better electric rates, and we all would probably rather poke sporks in our eyes than have to do it again, much less on a yearly basis.

A friend of mine turned me onto this company that is constantly shopping the best rates for you based on your electric usage in exchange for a $10 monthly fee. She said it cut her electric bill in half. I made a mental note, but didn’t look into right away. In my best Julia Roberts impression – Big mistake. Huge!

About six months later, after receiving our highest electrical bill yet, I finally checked it out. The great thing is, when you upload a current electric bill, this company can tell you how much they’re going to save you before you even sign up with them. You’ll be able to see that their $10 monthly fee is well-worth every dime. Signing up with them lowered my electric bill by over 50%. FIFTY PERCENT. I became an evangelist right then and there.

Worried about the paperwork side of this company changing your electrical provider frequently as they find better deals? Don’t. You create an account with this company and store your payment details with them. Anytime they switch your electrical provider, THEY do the legwork of setting up your new account, online access, and attaching your auto-pay method to it (if desired).

My mother-in-law considers herself a shopper. She is always looking to lower her bills and did her due-diligence on shopping energy rates. I told her about the service. She signed up, and is saving $500 per year. Even with their monthly fee, her net savings is $380 per year.

One of my clients was paying $350 per month in electric for her then 2,800 SF house. She was downsizing to a smaller 1,600 SF house. She was hoping that would bring her electricity costs under $200 per month. I told her to check out this company, and she signed up. Shortly after doing so, she sent me a (very excited) message telling me that her electric bill was now well under $100. Even with the monthly fee, she has a net savings of over $1000 per year!

Your mileage may vary based on how hard you’ve shopped electric plans in the past, but if I were you, I would take ten minutes out of your day and see what you could be saving with them.
