A productive Saturday at the farm!

The farm stand gave us something we rarely have this time of year, a little extra time. Rather than let it go to waste, we turned it into a training day for our summer interns.

We spent the morning role-playing customer interactions, learning how to represent Florista, answer questions about our flowers, and create a great experience for future visitors. It's amazing how quickly these young adults learn when given the opportunity.

We were also busy preparing a beautiful birthday celebration order, bringing fresh seasonal blooms to a special event.

Meanwhile, after weeks of rain delays and a busy spring an dearly summer season, another exciting project is finally moving forward at full pace, our second high tunnel! Seeing the structure come together is incredibly rewarding. This new tunnel will help us grow more flowers, improve production, and continue expanding what Florista can offer our community.

Watch the video for a behind-the-scenes look at the progress. Every post, every bow, and every helping hand brings us one step closer to the next chapter of the farm.

Meet the heartbeat of Florista this summer!

Every summer, we welcome interns who trade textbooks for trowels learning firsthand what it truly takes to grow and run a flower farm. From seeding to planting to harvesting to flipping the beds to running our Saturday farm stand to making flyers, they do it all.

And the best part? Some of them keep coming back, we're talking 3rd and 4th year returners because once you catch the flower farming bug, there's no going back!

They show up with the best attitudes, boundless energy, and enough humor to make even the hot TX days feel fun.

We are so proud of each and every one of them. Here's to the hands that grow the blooms!

Wedding flowers don't have to cost a fortune.

Beautiful can be simple.

Intimate can be unforgettable.

Thoughtfully designed.

Naturally beautiful.

Budget conscious.

Because every couple deserves flowers that feel special.

Designed for a bridal photoshoot using mostly seasonal flowers grown right here on our farm with a few add-ons from carefully sourced partners.

Farm-grown wedding florals by Florista.

Small budget. Big impact.

After a wonderful 2½-week pause filled with graduations, family visiting from out of town, travel adventures, and college freshman orientation, we finally had our first productive evening back at the farm today.

And what a beautiful evening it was.

The familiar sounds of laughter, wheelbarrows, watering wands, and eager conversations returned as our summer interns got back to work. Some of these young people are returning for their third and 4th summer at Florista, and it is incredibly rewarding to watch them grow in confidence, knowledge, and leadership year after year.

The farm itself is also entering a new season.

Spring favorites are beginning to take their final bow. The Lisianthus, which have carried us through much of the late spring season with their elegant blooms, are slowly starting to phase out. But as one season fades, another rises.

The queens of summer are stepping onto the stage.

Rows of vibrant Zinnias are beginning to explode with color. Rudbeckia are opening their cheerful golden faces to the sun. Sunflowers are stretching skyward and preparing for their summer show. Our staple summer foliage, Basil, is sending up strong, healthy stems that will soon find their way into countless bouquets and arrangements.

And perhaps most exciting of all...

For the very first time, we have Dahlias blooming at Florista. While we had a few varieties bloom in our backyard, this is our first attempt trailing several new varieties at the farm.

After months of anticipation, seeing those first blooms open has been nothing short of magical. Their colors, form, and presence are simply stunning. Every flower feels like a little celebration and a reminder of why we love growing flowers.

The transition from spring to summer is always one of the most exciting times on the farm. New colors, new textures, new varieties, and a whole new season of beauty are just beginning.

We're happy to be back in the fields and can't wait to share what's coming next.

Summer at Florista has officially begun.
