My style of jewelry is what I call ‘Texas Tarnished’. Each piece is lovingly bench-made in my studio in Katy, Texas.

It is designed to have a look of tarnished vintage silver with an organic hand-crafted feel, along with a kiss of the refined.

Hey y’all! I’m bringing a new class to Hope & Glory on November 1, 2025! It’s a class I taught earlier this year in Nashville, called Rhinestone Drams. Students will design a beautiful artisan necklace, using a vintage rhinestone brooch, shoe or dress clip, along with gorgeous gemstone beads and various jewelry links (which I will teach in class)! If you want to know more, please contact me via FB Messenger or more information can be found here:
https://dianecookjewelry.com/in-person
If you are interested, don’t wait too long, as there are only 8 spots available in this class (which will be small and intimate).
This will be a walk down memory lane for me, as students assemble vintage components, using several beautiful jewelry links, which I will teach in class.
Hope to hear from you soon!

I had the most amazing first day of my birthday weekend, with one of my favorite people in this world! I don’t know how I’d ever go thru this life without you, Melanie!
Thank you for ‘agreeing to go with me’ to The Brookwood Community, for a Day of Field Trial Results, Lunch & Learn! I love their events, such as this, because those of you who love plants as much as I do, always want to know exactly what does best in the Gulf Coast area, of South East Texas! The food they serve was teally good too!

Once a towhead, always a towhead! lol
I’ve become very thankful for my blonde hair. When I was younger, I wanted brown hair like most of my friends. But now that I’m older, I truly appreciate it.
I’m missing my Mom today, on my 68th birthday. I am 4 years old here, held in my her arms, at my Aunt Honey’s house.
Wanna know where the term ‘towhead’ was derived from?
A towhead can refer to two things: a person, typically a child, with very light, almost white, blonde hair, and a small river island or sandbar, especially in the Midwestern United States. The hair-related term comes from the light, coarse fibers of flax or h**p known as “tow,” which were used for spinning and dyeing.
So there you go! That’s my story & I’m sticking to it!

Week One of Jewelry Boot Camp at Terri Brush ‘s gorgeous studio was so fun! I love the necklaces the ladies designed. So much meaning and love woven into them. Each one has a beautiful story of love to tell. What a gift ❤️

It’s been 5 years since you left us. It’s still hard to believe. I miss you every day. Happy Heavenly Birthday, Mom. You would have been 89 today.

My granddaughter’s flute recital was last night, and I have to admit that she was pretty amazing. The grand finale was when all the flutes came together to play Danny Boy. I love seeing her strength blosssom and witness the brave heart that beats inside of her. Samantha Rae, you hold the world in the palm of your hands.🥰

We had our Bellville HS Class of 1975 50th Reunion this past weekend. It was so fun seeing old classmates. Sad that we’ve lost many along the way.
